ShipGlobal

Overview

About ShipGlobal: ShipGlobal is a cross‑border e‑commerce logistics provider offering domestic and international shipping, consolidation, warehousing, and end‑to‑end tracking. Its platform (including Connect.ShipGlobal) supports marketplace sellers and brands with rate shopping, pickups, and visibility, and it provides guidance for customs/import regulations with options like DDP/DDU to simplify international delivery.

ShipGlobal is now available as a carrier within the Stone Edge Order Manager. You can rate shop and print a ShipGlobal shipping label the same way you would with any other carrier.

Important difference
After you print a ShipGlobal label, place that parcel into a separate outer box for consolidation and then print a forwarding label to ShipGlobal using the Print a Label without an Order form (also known as “Ship It Without an Order”) from the Ship My Orders screen. You may use USPS, UPS, or FedEx as the forwarding carrier to send consolidated parcels to ShipGlobal.

Prerequisites

  • A shipping API key provided by Stone Edge. If you are not currently using our internal integration for shipping, please fill out the request form at com/ship.

Enable & Map Services

  1. Go to Main Menu → Settings → Shipping Setup.
  2. Click Shipping Services. This will refresh your services.
  3. Select the ShipGlobal They are named with a Region followed by Ecommerce (for example, Canada Ecommerce).
  4. In Rate Shopping & Mapping, ensure ShipGlobal services are available and mapped to your published shipping methods as desired.

Tip: Keep your ShipGlobal services distinct (e.g., international vs. domestic, service speeds) so they’re easy to select during rate shopping.

Configure ShipGlobal As A Carrier

If you use the Tracking Options feature to power the Track button, configure ShipGlobal as follows.

Path: Main Menu → Settings → Shipping Setup → Shipping Settings → Tracking Options

  1. Click Add (or edit an existing row).
  2. Enter:
    • Shipper: ShipGlobal
    • ShipperCode: SG

  3. Click Save.

When you click the Track button for a ShipGlobal shipment, Stone Edge appends the tracking number to the prefix above.

Enable & Configure ShipGlobal in Connect2Cart

Set up the ShipGlobal channel and required options in Connect2Cart. These settings affect rate shopping and the ship date that Stone Edge returns.

Path: Log in to Connect2CartChannelsIncoming ChannelsAdd Channel → select ShipGlobal

  1. Enter a Channel Name — how the channel will appear in your Connect2Cart list.
  2. Configure the following options:
    • Added Shipping Days (optional) — enter the average days from your location to New York State. Stone Edge adds these days to the delivery estimate to account for the forwarding leg to ShipGlobal.
    • Shipping Cost to ShipGlobal (optional) — enter the estimated cost to send your consolidated outer box from your warehouse to ShipGlobal (via USPS/UPS/FedEx). This can be used in rate comparisons for true landed cost when selecting ShipGlobal.
    • Delivery Days Option — choose how to interpret ShipGlobal’s delivery‑day range for calculating the Stone Edge ship date during rate shopping:
      • Min (default) — use the minimum of the range (fastest; system default).
      • Max — use the maximum of the range (most conservative).
      • Average — use the midpoint/average of the range.
  1. Click Save and confirm the channel shows as Enabled/Connected.

Note: After changing Connect2Cart settings, allow a short interval for synchronization, then re‑open Ship My Orders and click Rate again to see updated results.

Shipping with ShipGlobal (Standard Workflow)

NOTE: Use this process for any order you intend to hand off to ShipGlobal.

Rate Shop & Print the ShipGlobal Label

  1. Go to Main Menu → Ship My Orders.
  2. Load the order (Search View or List View).
  3. Enter weight, dimensions, and select a box if applicable.
  4. Click Rate (or the magnifying glass) to rate shop.
  5. Select the ShipGlobal The name of the ShipGlobal method will be formatted to include the Region followed by Ecommerce (for example, Canada Ecommerce).
  6. Click Print to generate the ShipGlobal parcel label.

Pack ShipGlobal Parcels Separately

  1. For operational clarity, set ShipGlobal parcels aside as they’re completed.
  2. Place each inner, labeled ShipGlobal parcel into a separate outer box.
  3. You may consolidate multiple inner ShipGlobal parcels into one outer box.
  4. Do not remove or cover the ShipGlobal label on the inner parcel(s). That label is scanned at the ShipGlobal facility and used for the last‑mile journey.

Create the Forwarding Label (Print a Label without an Order)

Use the outer box weight and dimensions for this label—the carrier will be USPS, UPS, or FedEx, and the Ship To address is the ShipGlobal facility designated for Stone Edge.

  1. From Ship My Orders, open Print a Label without an Order:
    • Click the Printer icon in the upper‑right, or select No Order on the left panel (depending on your screen layout).
  2. Ship To: Enter the ShipGlobal receiving address (provided by Stone Edge).
  3. Shipment Information: Enter the outer box weight and dimensions, then select the forwarding Service (USPS, UPS, or FedEx).
  4. Rate Shop to compare forwarding options and choose the least expensive service that meets your timeline.
  5. Click Print to generate the forwarding label.
  6. Affix the forwarding label to the outer box. Ensure the inner ShipGlobal labels remain intact and readable.

Tracking & Status

  • Forwarding (outer box): Track in the carrier’s portal (USPS, UPS, or FedEx). You can also record the forwarding tracking number in your internal notes or use Previous Shipments to reference labels printed without an order (Order ID = 0).
  • ShipGlobal (inner parcel): Track using the ShipGlobal tracking number printed on the ShipGlobal label. This is the tracking the customer ultimately cares about.

Returns

  • Currently not supported

FAQs

Can I mix ShipGlobal parcels with my normal carrier pickups?
Yes. Print the ShipGlobal label for the inner parcel, then use the Print a Label without an Order form to create a forwarding label via USPS, UPS, or FedEx for the outer box. Hand the outer box to the forwarding carrier as part of your regular pickups.

Do I need special packing for the outer box?
Use sturdy cartons sized for consolidation and include enough dunnage to prevent movement. Ensure inner ShipGlobal labels are protected but not obscured.

Where do I get the ShipGlobal receiving address?
From your onboarding materials or Stone Edge onboarding. If unsure, contact your Stone Edge representative.

Can I forward multiple inner parcels in one outer box?
Yes, if permitted by your ShipGlobal program. Ensure each inner parcel has a ShipGlobal label and include a simple manifest (packing list) inside the outer box if required.

Troubleshooting

  • ShipGlobal services not appearing during rate shop
    • Refresh Shipping Services in Shipping Setup.
    • Verify service mappings and permissions.
  • Forwarding label prints but no record in an order
    • This is expected. Labels printed from Print a Label without an Order are recorded as previous shipments with Order ID = 0 and can be found under Previous Shipments.
  • Customer is tracking the forwarding label
    • Remind support staff to provide the ShipGlobal tracking number (from the inner parcel) to customers for end‑to‑end visibility.
