5.3 Troubleshooting Building Sub-SKUs

If you experience any problem during building Sub-SKUs, verify your system parameters related to Sub-SKUs. See 3.1 Setting Up Sub-SKU System Parameters.

Problem: After I click on "Build Sub-SKUs," Sub-SKUs do not built for particular/all products.

1. Verify the system parameter AddToSubSKUIfNoCodeDelimiter in Order Options group. It is recommended that you set this parameter as "True (Yes)." If it is set to "False (No)" and if a selected order Option does not contain the WebOptionCodeDelimiter (or no WebOptionCodeDelimiter is defined in the program), the Option's value will not be added to the built Sub-SKU.

2. If Sub-SKUs were not created only for items marked as "Drop Ship," then verify the SkipDropShipsAtBuildSubSKUs system parameter in the Order Options group. Set the parameter to "False" to have the Order Manager build Sub-SKUs for items marked as drop ship in the Inventory.

Problem: Some product option values are not added to build Sub-SKUs.

Verify the system parameter AddToSubSKUIfNoCodeDelimiter in the Order Options group. It is recommended that you set this parameter to "True (Yes)." If this parameter is set to "False (No)" and if a selected order Option does not contain the WebOptionCodeDelimiter (or no WebOptionCodeDelimiter is defined in the program), the Option's value will not be added to the built Sub-SKU.

Problem: I have the following alarm after I click on "Build Sub-SKUs" - Sub-SKUs are not built.

You need to verify the SubSKUOptionLimit system parameter in the Order Options group. The maximum allowable is 5. If your actual number of option lists exceeds 5, you need to organize the data in a way to support Sub-SKUs with no more than 5 option lists per product before you can build Sub-SKUs.

Problem: Built Sub-SKUs do not have the syntax I expected (wrong symbols / too long )

Please verify the following system parameters that are responsible for the way the Sub-SKUs are built:

Problem: Sub-SKUs are not built / built for items marked as drop ship in the inventory

Verify the SkipDropShipsAtBuildSubSKUs system parameter in the Order Options group. Set SkipDropShipsAtBuildSubSKUs to "True" to have the Order Manager not build Sub-SKUs for items marked as drop ship in the Inventory.
