Overview

Logging Payment Credit Card Transactions
Record payment information in Stone Edge without executing a payment transaction

It can be used when:

  • Payment processed outside of Stone Edge
  • The customer pays with a paper check or money order
  • Refund performed outside of Stone Edge

Can be performed from Manual Orders, Process Orders, and POS screens

Extra payment methods can be saved.

Requires no extra parameters to be setup

Perform Credit Card transactions through Stone Edge UI.

It can be used when:

  • Capturing payments from imported orders with pre-authorized payments
  • Perform transaction for complete sale with necessary CC information provided

Can be performed from Manual Orders, Process Orders, and POS screens.

Only uses predetermined payment methods.

Requires system parameters to be set.

Credit Card Transaction Details

  • The Stone Edge system parameters for the payment gateway used to process transactions must be set.
    • Requires parameter CreditCardProcessor.
    • Additional parameters are based on the payment processor chosen.
  • The types of credit card transactions that can be performed depend on the capabilities of the payment processor/gateway.
  • The Point-of-Sale (POS) system has separate parameters to identify and configure the payment gateway.
  • Individual shopping carts can use different payment gateways under “PC & Cart Based Parameters.”
  • Parameters affecting imported orders.
    • WebTransactionType -> sets payments to come in as sale or pre-authorized.
    • AssumePaidInFull -> Regardless of payment information with the order, always import as paid in full.
