Overview
- This link to the Honeywell Hand Held Products Programming Sheet for the Honeywell 3800i is provided as a courtesy to our customers, and is subject to change without our knowledge.
- It is recommended to configure the scanner itself to use a prefix of 3 tildes (~~~) and a suffix of a forward slash (/). Print the pages containing the codes for the prefix and suffix from Chapter 4 of the user guide and follow the directions provided by Honeywell.
- The carriage return and line feed codes should be disabled, if configured. Refer to the user guide for more information.
- If problems are experienced with the barcode scanner, open Notepad and scan an item’s barcode to see if the prefix and suffix are set correctly. Many scanning problems are resolved by re-programming the internal settings of the barcode scanner.
