Add a Payment Method
- Go to one of the following program locations:
Main Menu > Settings > Data Functions > Payment Methods
Main Menu > Settings > System Functions > Setup Wizard > Payment/Credit Cards > Page 2 > Add/Edit Payment Methods
- Click Add New.
- Enter a unique name in the Please enter a name for the new Payment Method dialog box. The name must exactly match the payment method name sent by your shopping cart.
- Click OK to have it appear in Existing Payment Methods.
- If the payment method is not a credit card, the process is completed. Skip to step 7.
- If the new payment method is a credit card:
- Check the Is a Credit Card check box.
- Only select the Include Start Date and/or Include Issue Number boxes if using the UK credit cards, Switch, Delta, Solo, or Electron. Start Date is when the card was issued and Issue Number is the sequence number of each physical card issued for the same account. Check with the card issuer to determine which fields they require.
- Add the appropriate Bank Identification Number (BINs) for the credit card. Check with the card issuer to determine the correct values. BINs are used by the payment gateways to determine the credit card type, such as Visa or MasterCard.
- A Single BIN or Starting BIN is usually up to the first six digits of the credit card account number.
- Depending on the requirements of the card issuer, enter the Ending BIN.
- Click Add to have the BIN, or range of BINs, appear in the BINs list box.
- Check the Is a Credit Card check box.
- Click Close to save the payment method and exit the Payment Methods screen.
