PM How to Switch Payment Databases

Overview

• You can have the program use a different payment database by selecting a different SQL database from the Database Setup screen.
• The Database Setup screen is opened through the Settings screen.  
• This procedure can be used if it becomes necessary to switch to a backup copy of the production payment database.

Procedure

1. Go to the MCPM Monsoon Commerce Payment Module Main Menu and click Settings.

2. Click Database Connection.

3. If the desired database is in the current SQL Server instance, choose it from Select Database. Otherwise, select the instance of SQL Server from Specify the SQL Server and then choose the database.

4. Click Verify to confirm the connection to the database.

5. If you get the message "Connected!", select Save.  If you do not want to go through with switching databases, you can close the screen by clicking the red X in the upper right-hand corner and no changes are made.

6. The program will restart and prompt you to login again.

7. When the program reopens, the new payment database is in use.
