Overview

It is highly recommended that this utility is used off-hours when no order processing is in progress and only after a backup copy of the Store Data File the MS Access or SQL database that contains the users order information and program preferences. It does not contain Reports, which are housed in the Monsoon OMS program file (MS Access database). has been made. It is not possible to easily un-do changes made at this screen synonymous with the Microsoft Access Form object or graphical user interface (GUI) in Add or Edit Product mode!

• The Multi-Record & Price Editor allows data in multiple fields of multiple records to be updated simultaneously, rather than on a record by record basis. It can also be used to add new product records. Toggle between editing records and adding records by clicking the Edit Products or Add Products buttons in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

• There are five tabs, Standard Fields, Boxes,,Custom Fields, Web & Miscellaneous Fields and Price Changes, which each contain fields to which the user can make mass changes. The label of the currently selected tab is in bold text. 

• Notes containing the old and new values of the altered fields are added to inventory records by setting system parameter, LogMultiRecordEditorChanges to TRUE. Only the first 100 characters of Text and Memo fields are included.

• This screen does not support the use of a barcode scanner to enter barcode information at this screen.

• To access the Multi-Record & Price Editor go to:

Main Menu>Settings>Inventory Functions>Multi-Record and Price Editor

Description of the Multi-Record and Price Editor Screen

Global Editor Button

• opens the Global Editor screen

Add Products/Edit Products Button

• this button toggles the screen between editing records and adding inventory records

Filter Button

• this button is only visible when in Edit Products mode
• this button opens the Select to "left-click" the mouse on an object, usually a row in a table, in the context of Monsoon OMS documentation Items screen which is used to locate existing inventory records to be edited

Standard Fields Tab

• click in a check box to view one or more fields in the display at the bottom of the screen so that it can be edited for one or more records
• clear a box to remove it from the display

Boxes Tab

• as the name suggests, this tab contains fields related to boxes

Web & Miscellaneous Fields Tab

• fields related to exchanging data with a Web store are found on this tab
• it also contains other miscellaneous fields such as Serial Numbers, Standard Messages, Single-Unit SKU, to name a few

Price Changes Tab

• this tab is not visible when in Add Product mode
• after selecting inventory records to be updated, use the buttons and drop-down lists on this tab to determine the type and amount of the price change
• use the Test button to simulate the projected price changes before making them permanent with the Save button; if changes need to be made, the value can be edited manually in the appropriate cell and then select Save

Select All Button

• selects all fields on every tab when in Add or Edit Products mode

Clear All Button

• clears all but the Local SKU field on the Standard Fields tab, which cannot be removed
