Setup Guide Packing

Overview

This topic discusses the Packing section of the Monsoon Fulfillment Manager Setup Guide, which runs when the program is initially launched or when a new warehouse file is created.

Select a check box to enable the feature or setting, or clear the box to disable the feature or setting.

Select a tab to move between the different sections of the Setup Guide.

Packing tab

Lock the Gift Message

• controls system parameter PackingLockGiftMessage
• if TRUE, the Gift Message field cannot be edited by the packer

Lock the Weight

• controls system parameter PackingLockWeight
• if TRUE, the program uses the weight obtained from a scale or the Order record - it cannot be manually entered
• if a weight is modified manually, the Order record is updated with the new weight value

Allow changing of shipping methods

• controls system parameter PackingAllowChangeShipMethod
• if TRUE, you can change the shipping method at the Pack and Ship screen

Allow re-packing of orders

• controls system parameter PackingAllowRepack
• if TRUE, the Repack an order button is visible on the Pack and Ship screen

Allow packing of incomplete orders

• controls system parameter PackingAllowShipIncomplete
• if TRUE, partial shipments are permitted

Use keypad for entering quantities

• controls system parameter PackingUseKeypadForQuantity
• if TRUE, a keypad is displayed so you can enter an item's quantity to pack
• this is useful if you are using a barcode scanner to pack items

Show product images

• controls system parameter PackingShowImages
• if TRUE and the product record has a link to an image file, it is displayed at Pack and Ship to help prevent the wrong item from being packed

Automatically read a scale when a box is closed

• controls system parameter PackingAutoReadScale
• if TRUE, and a scale is attached to the current workstation, the program reads the weight automatically when a box is closed at Pack and Ship

Calculate the weight automatically

• controls system parameter PackingCalculateWeight
• if TRUE, the program calculates the weight of the package from the values in the Order Detail record
• if you are using a scale or want to manually enter weights, set this to FALSE

Automatically print a label when a box is closed

• controls system parameter PackingAutoShipWhenCloseBox
• if TRUE and you are using integrated DAZzle or ShipRush software to print shipping labels, the program automatically send the information to the shipping software when the box is closed at Pack and Ship

Default to having a carrier send an e-mail

• controls system parameter PackingDefaultShipperEmail
• if TRUE, the Have shipper send e-mail? box is selected by default at Pack and Ship

OK

• select this button to save your changes and close the Setup Guide

Cancel

• select this button to abandon your changes and close the Setup Guide
