The list can be shipment-driven which means that the first delivery of the subscription is always the first item on the list regardless of when the subscription was purchased. For example, for a top 100 paperbacks list the first book on the list may be "Gone With the Wind". If Customer "A" signs up for the subscription in January, their first shipment is "Gone With the Wind". If Customer "B" signs up for the same subscription in June, their first shipment is also "Gone With the Wind" while Customer "A" receives the sixth paperback on the list.
