Overview

Version 8 of Monsoon Order Manager supports multiple, physical warehouses.
Define each of your warehouses in Monsoon Order Manager.
Before processing any orders, associate individual product SKUs with warehouses by selecting the Associate Warehouses link on the Item tab of the Inventory screen.
The same product SKU can be associated with multiple warehouses.
Configure shipping carriers for rate shopping by warehouse at this screen. Refer to the Rate Shopping topic for more detailed information.

Description of the Screen

List (in the Accordion)

provides a list of all of the currently defined warehouses

Filter

enter text to filter the list of warehouses

Add

select this button to create a record for a new warehouse

Edit

select a warehouse record from the List in the accordion or by scrolling through the record set on the right
select this to make changes to the values in the selected warehouse record

Save

after making changes to a warehouse record, select this button to make your changes permanent

Cancel

after making changes to a warehouse record, select this button to abandon those changes

Close

select this to exit the Warehouses screen

Warehouse Name

enter a unique value to identify the warehouse

Warehouse Rank

assign a rank to each warehouse – the lower the number, the higher the ranking
for example, a ranking of one makes a warehouse the preferred source for filling an order for a given product, assuming the product is associated with that warehouse

Address Line 1

enter the street name and building number of the warehouse location

Address Line 2

enter additional postal information such as Suite, PO Box, etc.

City, State, Zip

enter the city, state and zip code of the warehouse location

Country

enter the country where the warehouse is located

Phone

enter the voice telephone number at the warehouse location

Fax

enter the facsimile telephone number at the warehouse location

Allow Incoming Inventory

select this box to allow the warehouse to receive purchase orders for restocking purposes
clear this box to prevent the warehouse from receiving new merchandise
this is useful if you are moving to a new facility and want to deplete the existing inventory at this site, or if the warehouse operations are temporarily shutdown
select this box and the Allow Incoming Inventory box to totally disable a warehouse

Allow Outgoing Inventory

select this box to allow orders to be routed to the warehouse for fulfillment
clear this box to prevent orders from being routed to the warehouse
select this box and the Allow Incoming Inventory box to totally disable a warehouse

UPS Configuration

select this to enter the UPS credentials and other company information used for rate shopping

USPS Configuration

select this to enter the USPS credentials and other company information used for rate shopping
