Manual Orders: Billing

Use the Next Topic and Previous Topic arrows, and , in the Navigation Pane of the Knowledge Base to read about each phase of creating a manual order in sequence. (The buttons are actually white on the black background of the Navigation Pane.)

Overview

This section displays the customer's billing address information. If it is necessary to change this information you must return to the Customer section.

Enter other miscellaneous order information at this screen, such as referral, coupon, or tax-exempt id information.

Select the links across the top of the screen to step through each phase of placing a manual order. Using these links, it is possible to jump between different phases, out of their normal sequence.

Another method of navigating between phases is to use the "Continue to.." or "Back to..." buttons at the bottom of each section, however, they only follow the normal sequence of steps.

Referral

select a pre-defined referral source from the list
to define referral lists, go to Main Menu>Settings>Data Functions>List Maintenance>Referral List

Coupon

to apply a pre-defined coupon to the customer's order, select it from the list
to define a coupon, go to Main Menu>Settings>Order Functions>Coupons

Tax #

this field is for informational purposes only, and is used to record the customer's tax-exempt ID number

Shop. Cart

this is an optional selection
associate this manual order with a particular shopping cart

POS and Web/Mail

these radio buttons control the source of rate information the program uses to calculate the sales tax for an order
the Web/Mail radio button is selected by default
the tax information for Web or Mail placed orders comes from the Sales Tax table found in the Store Setup Wizard, which supports multiple tax rates for orders that are shipped to various locations outside the tax nexus of the merchant's physical business location

Open Avalara Dashboard

only visible when Avalara Avatax integration is configured
opens the dashboard where you can set parameters for the sales tax system and view tax documents
