Overview

• The Edit Option one of the possible attributes of a product; for example, blue is an option for the color attribute of a product Value screen synonymous with the Microsoft Access Form object or graphical user interface (GUI) is used to enter information about a product's individual attributes, or options. Options are organized into Option Lists, which can be used when building sub-SKUs.

• The Edit Option Value screen is opened by the Add Option or Edit Option buttons of the Attribute Product attributes are color, size, or style, etc. An attribute can have various options or variants from which the customer can choose, such as Large or Extra Large for the size attribute, or Blue or Green for the color attribute. The base product SKU combined with each of the possible options for each attribute create a sub-SKU record in Monsoon OMS's inventory. Sub-SKUs are important for tracking the accurate quantity on hand for a particular item rather than the general product & Options tab of the Inventory screen.

Main Menu>Manage My Inventory>View & Manage My Inventory>Item>Attributes & Options>Edit Option button or Add Option button

• Select to "left-click" the mouse on an object, usually a row in a table, in the context of Monsoon OMS documentation an Option List, then click the Add Option button to create a new option or select an Option and click the Edit Option button to change the existing field values.

Description of the Screen

Name Field

• enter an arbitrary name for the option as it appears in the Option List

SKU Code Field

• this field is optional and can be used as a substitute for the value in the Name field when building sub-SKUs

Image Path Field

• this field only applies to a limited number of shopping cart an e-commerce software system that allows a retailer to sell products on the Web. In the context of Monsoon OMS, it refers to the settings that describe a merchant's web store to the program, allowing it communicate with the online shopping cart and import orders and other information systems, and contains the path to the product's image file

• this field is optional

Price +/- Field

• enter the delta between the regular price of the product and any increase or decrease in price when this option is selected

• for example, if the price of a 2XL T-shirt is $2.00 more than the regular selling price of the same T-shirt in sizes S-XL T-shirt, enter $2.00 in this field

• if the value is less, put a minus (-) in front of the dollar value in this field

• this field defaults to $0.00

Cost +/- Field

• enter the delta between the regular unit cost of the product and any increase or decrease in cost when this option is selected

• if the value is less than the regular cost, put a minus (-) in front of the dollar value in this field

• this field defaults to $0.00

Weight +/- Field

• enter the delta between the normal weight of the product and any increase or decrease in weight when this option is selected

• if the value is less than the normal weight, put a minus (-) in front of the dollar value in this field

• this field defaults to 0

Is a Label Check Box

• check this box to denote the option is only to be used as a label

• this field is optional; it only applies to a limited number of shopping cart systems and has no effect within Stone Edge

Default Check Box

• check this box to indicate this option is the default selection from the Option List

• this field is optional; it only applies to a limited number of shipping cart systems and has no effect in Stone Edge

Don't Use Check Box

• disable, or" turn off", the option without deleting it

• the option value is not used when sub-SKUs are built for an individual item

• overrides the setting of the option lists' Use For Build field

OK Button

• when all of the applicable data is entered at this screen, select this button to save the changes or add the new option

Cancel Button

• select  this to leave this screen without making any changes or adding a new option
