Overview<\/h2>\n

If the user has installed a new version\u00a0of Stone Edge <\/span>and it becomes necessary to revert to the previous software version, follow the instructions in this topic.<\/p>\n

Preparation<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. If any custom reports\/modules\/forms have been created or altered from when the program was upgraded until the decision to roll back to the previous version, be sure to store them in the Custom Reports<\/strong>\u00a0database.<\/li>\n
  2. Have everyone log out of the program.<\/li>\n
  3. One administrative user should log back into the system and create a backup of the store data file.\n
      \n
    1. It is recommended to also backup the Email Templates<\/strong>\u00a0folder and\u00a0Custom Reports<\/strong> to ensure they are not overwritten.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Uninstalling Stone Edge<\/h2>\n
        \n
      1. \u00a0Open the Stone Edge folder (normally C:\\StoneEdge)<\/li>\n
      2. \u00a0Find the file \u201cunins000.exe\u201d<\/li>\n
      3. Click to run the Uninstaller. This will need to be done on every computer that stone edge is installed on for the roll back.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        OR<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Search for \u201cProgram\u201d using windows taskbar search<\/li>\n
        2. Click \u201cAdd or Remove Programs\u201d<\/li>\n
        3. Search or scroll to find \u201cThe Stone Edge Order Manager version xxxx\u201d<\/li>\n
        4. Click the triple dots on the right.<\/li>\n
        5. Click \u201cuninstall\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Install the Previous Version of the Program<\/h2>\n
            \n
          1. Locate the installer for the previously installed version of\u00a0SEOM<\/span>.<\/li>\n
          2. Right-click the installer and select\u00a0Run as Administrator<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          3. Follow the prompts on the screen to complete the installation of the program.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Saving a Different Version of Stone Edge<\/h2>\n

            Sometimes you may want to keep a different version of Stone Edge on your computer. Performing these steps remove the need to uninstall the previous version.<\/p>\n

              \n
            1. Open Stone Edge.<\/li>\n
            2. Immediately press CTRL + SHIFT + L\n
                \n
              1. Pop-up \u201cClear Links?\u201d appears.<\/li>\n
              2. Click “Okay.”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
              3. Close Stone Edge<\/li>\n
              4. Open the stone Edge Folder. Default location C:\\StoneEdge<\/li>\n
              5. Locate SEOM.MDE and Rename it SEOMxxxx.mde (Where xxxx is the Version Number)<\/li>\n
              6. Locate SEOrdMan.mdb -> rename it to SEOrdManxxxx.mdb (where xxxx is the version number)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Installing a Previous Version of Stone Edge from a Renamed File<\/h2>\n
                  \n
                1. Perform steps of \u201cSaving a Different Version of Stone Edge\u201d to the current working version of Stone Edge.<\/li>\n
                2. Find the version of Stone Edge to revert to (two files).<\/li>\n
                3. Right-click.<\/li>\n
                4. Click \u201cRename\u201d (Windows 11, click rename symbol or F2 when highlighting the file)
                  \nNOTE: xxxx is the version number<\/p>\n
                    \n
                  1. Rename SEOMxxxx.mde -> SEOM.mde.<\/li>\n
                  2. Rename SEOrdManxxxx.mdb -> SEOrdMan.mdb.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    Opening Stone Edge<\/h2>\n
                      \n
                    1. Open Stone Edge using the icon OR open Access and click to open SEOrdMan.mdb.<\/li>\n
                    2. Wait for Stone Edge to compile and prompt to open a store.<\/li>\n
                    3. Open Store using the \u201cpreviously opened\u201d prompt OR navigate to the \u201cSelect Store to Open” pop-up.<\/li>\n
                    4. Wait for the database to compile, load, and check tables to finish.<\/li>\n
                    5. Store Data file is open when pop up \u201cStore [Sore Name] opened!\u201d appears.<\/li>\n
                    6. Click “Ok.”
