Moving the Data File<\/h2>\n

For an Access database<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Determine the current location of your store data file. Click the I for information on the main menu or CTRL + SHIFT + C.<\/li>\n
  2. Clear the table links by pressing\u00a0Ctrl+Shift+L<\/strong>\u00a0from the\u00a0Main Menu<\/strong>. Click\u00a0OK\u00a0<\/strong>when prompted. then Exit<\/strong> the Program. (Repeat this step on all machines running\u00a0SEOM<\/span>.)<\/li>\n
  3. At this time all Stone Edge programs should be closed.<\/li>\n
  4. Copy the data file to new location:\n
      \n
    • If your data file is already in a shared folder on a network drive or server, simply copy the entire folder to the designated StoneEdge directory on the new file server.<\/li>\n
    • If starting a networked configuration of SEOM<\/span>, move the following files\/folders from the original location to the designated StoneEdge directory on the new file server:\n
        \n
      • Store data file (for example, MyStore.mdb)<\/li>\n
      • Custom Reports.mdb<\/li>\n
      • EmailTemplates folder<\/li>\n
      • NewOrders folder<\/li>\n
      • DataArchives folder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • NOTE: Make sure that the new folder\/location is shared and users have adequate access to the folder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        1. Rename the data file on the old file server (for example, MyStoreOLD.mdb) to distinguish it from the data file copied to the new location.<\/li>\n
        2. On each workstation running\u00a0SEOM<\/span>:\n
            \n
          1. Launch\u00a0SEOM<\/span>.<\/li>\n
          2. You will be prompted to open a new or existing store file. Click\u00a0No\u00a0<\/strong>to open an existing store.<\/li>\n
          3. Click the file icon to browse network locations.<\/li>\n
          4. Go to the file path of the moved datafile and click it to open.<\/li>\n
          5. Once the store has been opened, go to the\u00a0Main Menu<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0SEOM<\/span>\u00a0and click\u00a0Switch Stores<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          6. Select the link to the old data file location and click Delete Link<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
          7. Update Parameters if the data file location has been updated with new file paths.\n

            1. SharedFileLocation -> location of customreports.mdb<\/li>\n
            2. NewOrderLocation -> location of\u00a0NewOrders folder<\/li>\n
