Adding an Option List<\/h2>\n

  1. Go to the\u00a0Main Menu>Manage My Inventory>View & Manage My Inventory>Attributes<\/a>& Options<\/i><\/strong>\u00a0tab.<\/li>\n
  2. Navigate to the desired product record.<\/li>\n
  3. Select the Add Option List<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
  4. Enter a name for the Option List in the\u00a0List Name<\/strong>\u00a0field.<\/li>\n
  5. Optional<\/strong>: The\u00a0Prompt\u00a0<\/strong>field pertains only to a Miva Web store and entering or changing the value in this field has no affect on the Web site.<\/li>\n
  6. Optional:<\/strong> The\u00a0Image\u00a0Path\u00a0<\/strong>field contains the path to the image of the product at the Web site.<\/li>\n
  7. Optional<\/strong>: If this Option List (attribute) does not have options associated with it, enter modifiers that should be added to the base\u00a0Price<\/strong>,\u00a0Cost\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0Weight\u00a0<\/strong>fields of the inventory item when this attribute is purchased. These fields are set to zero by default, and will not be used if options are assigned to this attribute.<\/li>\n
  8. Optional<\/strong>: Choose the type of control that will be used to display the options in the list to the user when an order is being placed (Miva Merchant only):\n

    • Drop-list<\/li>\n
    • Radio Buttons<\/li>\n
    • Check Box<\/li>\n
    • Text Field<\/li>\n
    • Text Area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Optional<\/strong>: If it is necessary to choose an option from this list when ordering the product, select the box labeled\u00a0Required<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • Optional<\/strong>: Select the box labeled\u00a0Use when building Sub-SKUs<\/strong>\u00a0to have the options in the selected Option Lists appear as part of the subSKU when building subSKUSthrough<\/strong> this user interface. The setting of this field is only applicable if you are using a Miva Merchant cart and have installed ModStop’s Inventory Track Pro or Viking Coders Inventory Manager for real-time inventory tracking. (System parameters UseModStopInventoryTrk<\/strong> or UseVikingCodersInventoryMgr<\/strong> = TRUE<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Be aware that If sub-SKUs are built as a result of an order or product import and the XMLfile does not include order option information (WebOptionCodeDelimiter<\/strong>, with or without AddToSubSKUIfNoCodeDelimiter<\/strong>) the program sets this field to TRUE<\/strong>, although it is not used when building subSKUs at this user interface unless the conditions in the previous paragraph are met. Refer to system parameter HonorUseForBuildOnOrderImport<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

        Editing an Option List<\/h2>\n

        1. Go to the\u00a0Main Menu>Manage My Inventory>View & Manage My Inventory>Attributes & Options<\/i><\/strong>\u00a0tab.<\/li>\n
        2. Navigate to the desired product record.<\/li>\n
        3. Select an Option List<\/strong> by clicking on its row (in the upper grid).<\/li>\n
        4. Select the\u00a0Edit Option List<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/li>\n
        5. Make the necessary changes to the data in this screen and select Save<\/strong> to retain the changes. Select Cancel<\/strong> to abandon the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Deleting an Option List<\/h2>\n

          1. Go to the\u00a0Main Menu>Manage My Inventory>View & Manage My Inventory>Attributes & Options<\/i><\/strong>\u00a0tab.<\/li>\n
          2. Navigate to the desired inventory record.<\/li>\n
          3. Select an Option List by clicking on its row (in the upper grid).<\/li>\n
          4. Select \u00a0Delete<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          5. The program prompts the user for confirmation before deleting the Option List and all of its Options.<\/li>\n
