use this with caution as there is no way to reverse this action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Save Template Button<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>After changes have been made to the currently viewed template, click this button to retain the changes<\/li>\n<li>to abandon the changes, simply navigate away from this screen without clicking this button<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Filter Button<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>This button will open the <i>Select\u00a0Items<\/i>\u00a0screen, from which the user may enter selection criteria to narrow down the list of SKUs that appear in the\u00a0<strong>Sample Data<\/strong>\u00a0section of the screen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Custom Exports Tab<\/h3>\n<h4>Load Export Template Drop-down List<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>This drop-down list contains all of the export templates that have been created in the current store data file<\/li>\n<li>To create a new export template, simply make the desired field and setting choices and click the [<strong>Save Template<\/strong>] button; the program will prompt the user to enter a name for the new template and it will then be included in the drop-down list of Export Templates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Show fields: Buttons<\/h4>\n<h5>1-20<\/h5>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Click this button to see <strong>Fields 1 &#8211; if no label is entered the program will use the name of the field as its label<\/li>\n<li>Choose &#8220;<strong>Add Custom Column<\/strong>&#8221; from the<strong>\u00a0Field to Export<\/strong>\u00a0drop-down lists in any of the\u00a0<strong>Fields 1-40<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>To produce a column that contains the same value in each row, enter a comma after the value in the <strong>Field Label<\/strong> column and append the static value; for example, if we select &#8220;<strong>Add Custom Column<\/strong>&#8221; from the drop-down list in B and enter a label of <strong>Drop-ship Charge<\/strong>,<strong> Not Applicable<\/strong>, every record in the file would contain the value, &#8220;<strong>Not Applicable<\/strong>&#8220;, in the column labeled <strong>Drop-ship Charge<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>File Type:<\/h4>\n<h5>Comma Delimited<\/h5>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>The data fields in the text file are separated by commas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h5>Tab Delimited<\/h5>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>The data in the text file are separated by a tab character (appears to be one or more blank spaces between the fields)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Include Field Names Check Box<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Select this box to have the <span style=\"font-size: small;\">OMS\u00a0<\/span>field name or an alternate\u00a0<strong>Field Label<\/strong>\u00a0inserted in the first row of the text file<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Include:<\/h4>\n<h5>Discontinued Items Check Box<\/h5>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Click this box to include products that are marked as discontinued in the export file<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h5>Out of Stock Check Box<\/h5>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Click this box to include products that are currently out of stock in the data in the export file<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Field 1 &#8211; Field 40<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Each of these fields relates to a <span style=\"font-size: small;\">OMS\u00a0<\/span>field in the product inventory record<\/li>\n<li>Select the desired field from the drop-down list in the Field to Export Column<\/li>\n<li>Fields are exported in the sequence in which they mapped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Field to Export Column<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Each row in this column contains a drop-down list containing a list of <span style=\"font-size: small;\">OMS\u00a0<\/span>fields that can be selected for export<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Field Label Column<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>To use a value other than the <span style=\"font-size: small;\">OMS\u00a0<\/span>field name when exporting product data, enter the alternate value in the\u00a0<strong>Field Label<\/strong> Column<\/li>\n<li>Check the box labeled [<strong>Include\u00a0Field Names<\/strong>]\u00a0to have the labels included in the first record of the text file<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Sample Data Section<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>This area of the screen will reflect the product and fields presently selected for export<\/li>\n<li>To limit the products in this section, use the [<strong>Filter<\/strong>]\u00a0button to enter selection criteria<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Export Button<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>When the appropriate selections have been made in all areas of the screen, click this button to export the specified data from <span style=\"font-size: small;\">OMS\u00a0<\/span>into the text file<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Exporting Product Data to a Text File<\/h2>\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li class=\"p\">To access the\u00a0<i>Export Inventory<\/i>\u00a0screen, go to the\u00a0<strong><i>Main Menu&gt;Accordion&gt;Manage My Inventory&gt;Export My Inventory<\/i><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">Select an export template from the\u00a0<strong>Load Export Template<\/strong>\u00a0drop-down list or create a new template by selecting the appropriate fields and settings and click the\u00a0[<strong>Save Template<\/strong>]\u00a0button. The program will prompt the user to enter a name for the template, which will then appear in the drop-down list.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">Select the type of text file that will be created. This decision depends on the application with which the data will be used. If you are unsure of the file types the application accepts, consult its documentation. If the application accepts both file types, follow this general guideline: If the data contains commas, apostrophes, quotes and\/or carriage returns, use the tab-delimited format. If the data does not contain special characters, use the comma-delimited format.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">If the first row of the file should contain the field names, click the\u00a0[<strong>Include Field Names<\/strong>]\u00a0check box.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">If discontinued items should be included in the list of products that will be exported, click the\u00a0[<strong>Include Discontinued Items<\/strong>]\u00a0check box.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">If products that are currently out-of-stock should be included in the export, click the\u00a0[<strong>Include Out-of-Stock Items<\/strong>] check box.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">In the\u00a0<strong>Sample Data<\/strong>\u00a0section, note that the first column is already populated with a list of SKUs from your inventory records.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">To map the inventory SKU\u00a0field to\u00a0<strong>Field 1<\/strong>, click the drop-down menu in the\u00a0<strong>Field to Export<\/strong>\u00a0column of that row and select\u00a0[<strong>SKU<\/strong>] from the list. As the other fields are mapped, their values will also appear in the <strong>Sample Data<\/strong> section of the screen.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">To export a subset of your inventory products, click the\u00a0[<strong>Filter<\/strong>]\u00a0button to open the\u00a0<i>Select Items<\/i>\u00a0screen. After a list of items is built at that screen, click the\u00a0[<strong>Export Selected Items<\/strong>]\u00a0button to return to the\u00a0<i>Export Inventory<\/i>\u00a0screen, which now shows the filtered list of products in the\u00a0<strong>Sample Data<\/strong>\u00a0section.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">Continue mapping additional fields (<strong>Field 2 &#8211; 40<\/strong>) as needed. Or, select\u00a0[<strong>Add Custom Column<\/strong>]\u00a0from the\u00a0<strong>Field to Export<\/strong>\u00a0drop-down list, and enter a name for the custom field in the\u00a0<strong>Field Label\u00a0<\/strong>column of that row. To create a custom column that will always contain the same static value, enter the static value following the\u00a0<strong>Field Label<\/strong> in the format: FieldLabel, StaticValue<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">Click the\u00a0[<strong>Save Template<\/strong>]\u00a0button to retain these settings. The program will prompt the user to enter a name for the template or permission to overwrite an existing template with the changes. Click\u00a0[<strong>OK<\/strong>]\u00a0to proceed.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">Click the\u00a0[<strong>Begin Export<\/strong>]\u00a0\u00a0button.
