Pack & Ship Orders Screen<\/b><\/h2>\n

Packing by Order<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Place an empty box on a compatible electronic scale.<\/li>\n
  2. Select the Pack by: Order<\/strong> radio button, if it is not already selected.<\/li>\n
  3. Scan the order barcode from an Invoice or Packing Slip; if a barcode scanner is not configured, manually enter an order number in the Order<\/strong> field.\n
      \n
    • A list of the line items appears in the\u00a0Items\u00a0<\/strong>section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        \n
      1. Scan each item as it is packed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        • If you do not have a barcode scanner, or if a particular item does not have a barcode label, you can either type in the SKU\u00a0or double-click in the\u00a0SKU\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0Product\u00a0<\/strong>column of the item’s row to populate the SKU field. You will have to manually update the\u00a0QTY\u00a0<\/strong>field or use the Up and Down arrows if more than one unit of the item is packed. Click\u00a0Log as Packed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        • There is an option to display an image of the scanned item for an additional confirmation that the proper item is being packed. Images can reside on the Internet on a local drive on the LAN.<\/li>\n
        • When using a barcode scanner, set system parameter PackingUseKeypadForQuantity<\/strong> to TRUE to display a keypad to enter the number of units packed when the scanned item has a quantity greater than one. The keypad cannot be used if the item requires the user to enter a serial number\u00a0when it is packed. Refer to the\u00a0Use Serial #<\/strong>‘s\u00a0check box of an item’s inventory record.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          4. Print the shipping label.<\/p>\n

            \n
          • If the destination address is international the UPS, FedEx, ShipRush or DAZzle screen will appear so that the additional customs information can be entered.<\/li>\n
          • If system parameter\u00a0PackingAutoshipWhenCloseBox\u00a0<\/strong>is set to TRUE<\/strong>, the program automatically sends the print label request to the shipping carrier without the need to click the\u00a0Print Label<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Packing by Item<\/h3>\n
              \n
            1. Scan the barcode of an item to be packed. If \u00a0barcode scanner is not configured, manually enter the SKU or double-click in one of the columns of the row of a given line item to add it to the SKU field.\n
                \n
              • The oldest order with a backorder\u00a0for the item is displayed.<\/li>\n
              • Optional<\/u>: check the\u00a0Single Item Orders Only<\/strong>\u00a0box to limit the list of orders to those that do not include any other items.<\/li>\n
              • The\u00a0Print Paperwork<\/i>\u00a0screen opens to print Invoices, Packing Slips and\/or Shipping labels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
              • The rest of the packing process is the same as described above.\n

                • Note that if a barcode scanner is used, the item will have to be scanned twice: once to display the order, and again to pack the item.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
