{"id":452,"date":"2019-04-11T20:54:56","date_gmt":"2019-04-11T20:54:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=452"},"modified":"2025-06-12T14:59:57","modified_gmt":"2025-06-12T14:59:57","slug":"cancelling-drop-ship-purchase-orders","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/articles\/cancelling-drop-ship-purchase-orders\/","title":{"rendered":"Cancelling Drop-Ship Purchase Orders"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Overview<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"CopyofBulletedList\">If you try to cancel a purchase order with one or more drop-ship\u00a0items on it, you may get an error message telling you to go to\u00a0<i>Purchase Orders<\/i> to cancel these items because the purchase orders were already created and sent to the supplier.<\/li>\n<li class=\"CopyofBulletedList\">Drop-ship items on an open purchase order must be removed before the entire order can be cancelled.<\/li>\n<li class=\"CopyofBulletedList\">It may not be possible to remove drop-ship line items on an open purchase order if changes were made to the &#8220;Expected&#8221; or &#8220;Received&#8221; records or an invoice was applied to the &#8220;Expected&#8221; or &#8220;Received&#8221; record(s).<\/li>\n<li class=\"CopyofBulletedList\">If you attempt to cancel an &#8220;Order&#8221; that has a drop-ship line item on it that has already been ordered (via a Purchase Order), you receive the error message in the image below:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"Image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3760 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0064.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"399\" height=\"144\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0064.png 399w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0064-300x108.png 300w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0064-50x18.png 50w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0064-60x22.png 60w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0064-100x36.png 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 399px) 100vw, 399px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>How to Cancel a Drop-Ship Purchase Order<\/h2>\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>Main Menu &gt; Manage My Inventory &gt; Manage My Purchase Orders &gt; Find &amp; Select a PO<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Once you have located the appropriate Purchase Order, select\u00a0<strong>View PO<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>Line Items<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the item from the list and click\u00a0<strong>Remove<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"Image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3757 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0062.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"626\" height=\"421\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0062.png 626w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0062-300x202.png 300w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0062-50x34.png 50w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0062-60x40.png 60w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0062-100x67.png 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 626px) 100vw, 626px\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Click\u00a0<strong>OK\u00a0<\/strong>to remove the line item from the PO.
