Each site can have its own\u00a0SEOM\u00a0store file and their inventory and orders can be managed separately.<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">If the web stores are not separate legal entities and they share merchandise, it is not necessary to create a separate store file for each one.<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">Depending on the idiosyncracies of the\u00a0<a id=\"HotSpot26691\"><\/a>shopping cart\u00a0systems in use, it may be simpler to define multiple shopping cart systems in the same store data file. In this scenario,\u00a0SEOM\u00a0provides cart-based parameters that can be used to brand the paperwork for orders from the different Web stores appropriately.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"creating-a-new-store-file\">Creating a New Store File<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Go to the\u00a0<i><strong>Main Menu&gt;Settings&gt;System Functions&gt;Create New Store<\/strong>.<\/i><\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">The\u00a0<i>Enter name and location for new store\u2019s data file<\/i>\u00a0<a id=\"HotSpot26451\"><\/a>screen\u00a0opens. The store data file is the Microsoft Access database that will contain all of the information that is specific to your web store, such as the customer, product and order information, as well as the program settings that have been selected for your store.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Specify the location, e.g. c:\\StoneEdge or \\\\[Fileserver]\\Cdrive\\StoneEdge, if the program will be used on multiple workstations on a LAN.<\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Enter the name that should be given to the store file, e.g. Ajax Orders.mdb.<\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Select\u00a0<strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1383\" src=\"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/tip-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"36\" height=\"37\" \/>Use a name for the store\u2019s data file that includes all or part of your company\u2019s name plus the word \u201cOrders\u201d. Do not use \u201c.com\u201d in the file name.Even if you plan to use an SQL database as the store data file, when the program is initially installed, an Access database must be created. Use the Convert to SQL utility to change the original store file to an SQL database.<\/p>\n<p>SEOM\u00a0only supports the .mdb file extension, e.g. Ajax Orders.mdb.; it is not able to use a file with the ACCDB extension, which is the default file type created by Access 2007 and above. Refer to\u00a0<i>Microsoft Access 2007 Considerations<\/i>\u00a0in the\u00a0<i>Knowledge Base<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>For multi-user installations, store the data file in a shared folder on a network drive that is accessible by all users.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">The\u00a0<i>Enter company name<\/i>\u00a0screen appears.<\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Enter the name of the company as it should appear on the program\u2019s user interfaces and reports. This value can be changed later via the\u00a0<strong>Store Setup Wizard<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Select\u00a0<strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">A message box appears, stating that the store has been opened. Select\u00a0<strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">The\u00a0<strong>Store Setup Wizard<\/strong>\u00a0opens.<\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Fill in the information on each of the sections of the Setup Wizard to configure your new store.<\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Select\u00a0<strong>Save and Exit<\/strong>\u00a0at any time to exit the\u00a0<strong>Store Setup Wizard<\/strong>\u00a0and retain the settings that have been entered so far.
