Instead, the program creates a new customer record with which the order is associated.<\/li>\n<li class=\"CopyofBulletedList\">In order to keep the customer&#8217;s purchase history under a single customer record it may be necessary to go to the order in question and use <strong>Assign to Different Customer\u00a0<\/strong>to associate the order with an existing customer record.<\/li>\n<li>Parameters to determine what to match customers against where searching will go in order from 1 to 4: CustomerSearchField1 &#8211; CustomerSearchField4<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Assign an Order to a Different Customer Record<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Main Menu -&gt; Process My Orders -&gt; View &amp; Process My Orders<\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Navigate to the order.<\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Click the &#8220;Customer&#8221; tab.<\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Click &#8220;Assign to Different Customer&#8221;<i>.<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4149\" src=\"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0166.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"358\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0166.png 214w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0166-179x300.png 179w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0166-30x50.png 30w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0166-36x60.png 36w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/0166-60x100.png 60w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 214px) 100vw, 214px\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Enter search criteria for specific customer and click &#8220;Begin Search&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Select the correct customer and click &#8220;OK&#8221;.\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>If the customer is not found, click &#8220;Close&#8221; and try the search again with different criteria.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview Sometimes you will have orders from the same person that have enough different information in them (name, phone number, email address, etc.) that the program does not recognize it is coming from an existing customer.
