Returning an Item against a Specific Order<\/h2>\n

With a receipt<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Scan the barcode on the receipt.<\/li>\n
  2. The Review POS Orders<\/strong> dialog box opens.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \n
    1. Select Return Items<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    2. Click the\u00a0Return\u00a0check box for the items that the customer is returning or click\u00a0Select All<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \"\"<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Optional: Adjust the number of items the customer is returning and the number of items to add back to inventory.<\/li>\n
      2. Select the way in which you wish to refund the customer in the\u00a0How to Issue Credit for Return<\/strong>\u00a0section.<\/li>\n
      3. Click the\u00a0Process\u00a0<\/strong>button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Without a receipt<\/h3>\n
          \n
        1. Click\u00a0Recall Order<\/strong>\u00a0or press\u00a0F4\u00a0<\/strong>on the keyboard. The\u00a0Recall Order<\/strong>\u00a0dialog box opens:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. Select the type of order you wish to recall.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            1. The\u00a0Review POS Orders<\/strong>\u00a0dialog box opens.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              1. Depending on the action selected on the Recall Orders<\/strong> screen, you may need to navigate to the appropriate order record via the arrows in the lower left hand corner of the screen or by entering the order number in the\u00a0Quick Search<\/strong>\u00a0box in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and pressing\u00a0Enter\u00a0<\/strong>on the keyboard.<\/li>\n
              2. Select\u00a0Return\u00a0Items<\/strong>. The\u00a0Review Items<\/strong>\u00a0dialog box opens.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                1. Select the\u00a0Return\u00a0<\/strong>check box for the items that the customer is returning or choose\u00a0Select All<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
                2. Optional: Adjust the number of items the customer is returning and the number of items to add back to inventory.<\/li>\n
                3. Select the way in which you wish to refund the customer in the\u00a0How to Issue Credit for Return<\/strong>\u00a0box.<\/li>\n
                4. Click\u00a0Process<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  Returning an Item without Referencing an Order Number<\/h3>\n
                    \n
                  1. At the POS Screen, click\u00a0Return<\/strong>. This sets the \u201dReturn<\/strong>\u201d flag in the Information Screen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                      \n
                    1. Scan or select the item being returned. You are prompted for how many to return, the original price and what to do about inventory quantities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                      1. Enter the information then click\u00a0OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                        \"\"<\/p>\n

                          \n
                        1. Note that the return flag is cleared after the item is added. Continue the sale as normal. Should the customer not be purchasing additional goods, click\u00a0Save Print<\/strong>\u00a0to issue cash to the customer. If crediting customer\u2019s credit card, the merchant MUST have a gateway that supports Blind Credits (credit to card without prior transaction reference). Card \u201dcredit\u201d transactions are run the same as a sale transaction.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
