The Special Order<\/strong> Hot Key provides the ability to designate an order as On Hold<\/strong> for an indefinite amount of time. The Special Order On Hold designation is different from the Hold Order (F3) function, which puts an order on Hold only until the end of the day. See POS Putting Orders on Temporary Hold<\/i>\u00a0for more information about the Hold Order button.<\/p>\n

  1. Add line items. There are five ways to add line items:\n
      \n
    1. Select items on the Hot Keys<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n
    2. Scan the barcode<\/strong> on the item.<\/li>\n
    3. Type a SKU in the SKU<\/strong> field and press Enter<\/strong> on the keyboard.<\/li>\n
    4. Type a barcode in the\u00a0Barcode\u00a0<\/strong>field and press\u00a0Enter\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0Tab\u00a0<\/strong>on the keyboard.<\/li>\n
    5. Perform a product search by clicking\u00a0Prod. Lookup<\/strong>\u00a0or pressing\u00a0F6\u00a0<\/strong>on the\u00a0keyboard.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    6. Select\u00a0Special Order<\/strong>\u00a0or press\u00a0F7\u00a0<\/strong>on the keyboard.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
