Stone Edge Technologies<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Navigating to Shipping Setup<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Main Menu &gt; Settings (gear icon).<\/li>\n<li>Shipping Functions &gt; Shipping Setup &gt; Hardware<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>OR<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>From Ship my Orders press the gear icon to go to shipping settings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Setting up a Scale<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> A scale is NOT required to use shipping system (Set scale type and port to &#8220;None&#8221; if not using).<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Confirm scale is supported by Stone Edge: <a href=\"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/articles\/shipping-scale-setup\/\">Shipping Scale Setup &#8211; Stone Edge Order Manager<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Navigate to \u201cHardware\u201d tab in \u201cShipping Settings.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThis Workstation\u201d should be set to the computer name.<\/li>\n<li>Select \u201cScale Type\u201d using dropdown.<\/li>\n<li>Select \u201cScale Port\u201d using dropdown.<\/li>\n<li>To check if the Scale can be found click the icon to the right of the drop down box.\n<ul>\n<li>If you receive the error message &#8220;Could not write to serial port&#8221; Means the port is most likely wrong.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click Check Mark when finished.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Setting up a Label Printer<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Attach label printer to computer (normally by USB)<\/li>\n<li>Install recommended printer hardware\n<ol>\n<li>If using Zebra brand must be ZPL <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">NOT<\/span> EPL<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Use Search bar and type \u201cPrinter\u201d and click \u201cPrinters &amp; Scanners.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>If correctly configured label printer will be in list.<\/li>\n<li>Click label printer in list.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u201cPrinter properties.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to \u201cSharing\u201d tab.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u201cChange Sharing Options\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Toggle \u201cShare this printer\u201d and set share name.\n<ol>\n<li>MAKE SURE Printer SHARE NAME HAS NO SPACES.<\/li>\n<li>Note this name for later.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click \u201cApply\u201d and \u201cOK\u201d Designer<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to \u201cHardware\u201d tab in \u201cShipping Settings.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Select \u201cShopping Cart\u201d that uses following \u201cLabel Type\u201d (default is \u201cDefault Settings\u201d to use for all shopping carts)\n<ol>\n<li>If will be using label for ALL shopping carts enable \u201clabel for all shopping carts\u201d toggle.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select \u201cLabel Type\u201d using dropdown (standard is ZPL 4&#215;6)<\/li>\n<li>Select \u201cPrinter\u201d using dropdown.<br \/>\nNOTE: If printer is not listed it is probably not set up correctly.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cPrinter Tray\u201d can usually be left blank or set to \u201cDefault.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Enter \u201cPrinter Port\u201d\n<ol>\n<li>Click @ to automatically add computer name.<\/li>\n<li>Enter shared printer name from step 9.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>If will be using printer for ALL shopping carts enable \u201cprinter for all shopping carts\u201d toggle<\/li>\n<li>Click printer icon next to \u201cPrinter Tray\u201d to open \u201cTest Print\u201d pop-up.\n<ol>\n<li>Enter 1-3 to print a test label (must be registered for service to use).<\/li>\n<li>If successful a label with a voided tracking number will be printed with a notification.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Repeat process if using different settings per shopping carts.<\/li>\n<li>Click checkmark when finished.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Setting up a Scanner<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> A scanner is\u00a0<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not<\/span><\/strong> required to use the shipping system.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Confirm System Parameters (click \u201cSave\u201d after each change)\n<ul>\n<li>Main Menu -&gt; Gear Icon<\/li>\n<li>System Functions -&gt; Set System Parameters<\/li>\n<li>Parameter Group = Barcodes<\/li>\n<li>Parameter -&gt; BarcodePrefix -&gt; Default: ~~~<\/li>\n<li>Parameter -&gt; BarcodeSuffix -&gt; Default: \/<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Attach scanner to computer (normally by USB).<\/li>\n<li>Install recommended scanner hardware if applicable.<\/li>\n<li>Test Scanner by opening Notepad -&gt; use Search bar to locate if not used often.\n<ol>\n<li>Scan an item\u2019s barcode.<\/li>\n<li>If a number appears without the prefix and the suffix.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Setup prefix and suffix (for use with default settings)\n<ol>\n<li>Print scan sheet from link below and follow instructions<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/articles\/configuring-a-honeywell-metrologic-voyager-barcode-scanner-ms9520\/\">Configuring a Honeywell (Metrologic) Voyager Barcode Scanner (MS9520) (stoneedge.com)<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>NOTE<\/strong>: Scan sheet only works for Metrologic Single Line Scanners, for other scanners must go to manufacturer website to review how to setup.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Scan the same item again in Notepad -&gt;
