    5. Perform a product search by clicking\u00a0Prod. Lookup<\/strong>\u00a0or pressing\u00a0F6\u00a0<\/strong>on the keyboard.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    6. Enter payment.\n

          1. Enter the check number and the total amount for which the check is written.<\/li>\n
          2. To store the amount of the check and the check number without applying the amount of the check towards the balance due (because the check does not immediately clear the bank), select\u00a0Store Check Data<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          3. The\u00a0Add additional payment?<\/strong>\u00a0dialog box opens.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              1. Click\u00a0Yes\u00a0<\/strong>to return to the current transaction and add additional items to the sale.<\/li>\n

                1. If you wish to apply the amount of the check towards the balance due immediately (assuming the check will clear the bank), select\u00a0Log Check Payment<\/strong>\u00a0instead of\u00a0Store Check Data<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                            4. To store the check information without processing the payment, select\u00a0Store Check Data<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
