  1. Add line items. There are five ways to add line items:\n

    1. Select items on the Hot Keys<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n
    2. Scan the barcode<\/strong> on the item.<\/li>\n
    3. Type a SKU<\/strong> in the SKU field and press Enter<\/strong> on the keyboard.<\/li>\n
    4. Type a barcode in the\u00a0Barcode\u00a0<\/strong>field and press\u00a0Enter<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Tab<\/strong>\u00a0on the keyboard.<\/li>\n
    5. Perform a product search by clicking\u00a0Prod. Lookup<\/strong>\u00a0or pressing\u00a0F6\u00a0<\/strong>key on the keyboard.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    6. Process the payment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. If a magnetic card reader is configured for use with\u00a0SEOM<\/span>, swipe the credit card through the card reader to open the Process Payment<\/strong> screen.<\/li>\n
        2. Otherwise, click\u00a0Credit<\/strong>\u00a0on the\u00a0Key Pad<\/strong> tab at the bottom of the POS screen to open the Process Payment<\/strong> screen and enter the card information manually.<\/li>\n
        3. Select\u00a0Store Card Data<\/strong>,\u00a0Authorize\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0Capture<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                \n
              1. Store Card Data<\/strong>\u00a0stores the card data with the order record only; the program does not run a transaction against the card. The order shows a balance due. Most often, this function is used at the time of the original order but the customer is not charged until the merchandise is actually shipped.<\/li>\n
              2. Authorize<\/strong> verifies that the credit card has sufficient credit available to cover the transaction. Note: The Authorize option may not be available; see POS Setup – Misc. Tab for more information on the Require CC Sale for Orders<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n
              3. Capture\u00a0<\/strong>submits the transaction information for processing and payment, i.e. the credit card is actually charged.<\/li>\n
              4. The\u00a0Process PIN<\/strong>\u00a0button is for debit card transactions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                1. Get the customer’s signature on the receipt. Refer to system parameters, CCSignatureTemplate<\/strong>, POSPrintCCSignatureReceipt<\/strong>, and POSInvoiceShowSignatureLine<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
