{"id":2432,"date":"2022-06-06T21:02:40","date_gmt":"2022-06-06T21:02:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=2432"},"modified":"2025-08-05T14:42:06","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T14:42:06","slug":"multi-level-pricing","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/articles\/multi-level-pricing\/","title":{"rendered":"Multi-Level Pricing"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Overview<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Price levels define the different prices at which the same product may be sold.<\/li>\n<li>The system parameter: UseMultiLevelPricing must be &#8220;True&#8221; to use this feature.<\/li>\n<li>Stone Edge supports the use of 10 price levels which can be defined for each inventory item.<\/li>\n<li>Examples for using price levels can be:\n<ul>\n<li>Wholesale<\/li>\n<li>Retail<\/li>\n<li>Club<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Price levels are given a name (user-defined), and names are assigned to customer records.<\/li>\n<li>By default, when an existing customer places an order, the price level is applied.\n<ul>\n<li>The system will use the price level indicated in the customer&#8217;s record<\/li>\n<li>If the customer record does not specify a price level, the system will use the default price level (defined by the system parameter)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Price levels do not affect imported orders\n<ul>\n<li>Pricing information that comes from the shopping cart system honored by Stone Edge<\/li>\n<li>It IS possible to change the price of a product on an imported order at the Process Orders screen manually.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>NOTE: Turning multi-level pricing on\/off requires the user to re-enter price information for products at each price level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Defining Price Levels<\/h2>\n<h4>Method #1<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Gear Icon (Settings)<\/li>\n<li>System Functions -&gt; Set System Parameters<\/li>\n<li>Parameter Group = pricing<\/li>\n<li>Parameters\n<ol>\n<li>UseMultiLevelPricing = True<\/li>\n<li>PricingLevel#Name -&gt; user-defined name to identify what price level is used for<br \/>\n(# is replaced by the numeric value of specific pricing level)<br \/>\nNOTE: Ten price levels may be assigned 1 \u2013 10. Manage My Inventory\u201d<br \/>\nNOTE: Can click the \u201cManage My Inventory\u201d button from the Main Menu if not changed from the default.<\/li>\n<li>The inventory screen now showing<\/li>\n<li>Items -&gt; Multi-Record &amp; Price Editor (left-hand side).<\/li>\n<li>\u201cEdit Inventory Data\u201d pop-up appears.<\/li>\n<li>Select Fields to show in the table (the below fields are useful).\n<ol>\n<li>Local SKU -&gt; by default always shown<\/li>\n<li>Item Name -&gt; for ease to know what item is being edited.<\/li>\n<li>Pricing 1 \u2013 10 -&gt; Show as many as defined by price levels.\n<ol>\n<li>When adding Pricing categories 3 columns will show (pricing 1 will default to not have a number on the column title).\n<ol>\n<li>Price#<\/li>\n<li>On Sale #<\/li>\n<li>Sale Price #<br \/>\nNOTE: The assigned names of each Price level will not be shown.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Edit the item\u2019s prices by clicking the corresponding box and typing in the prices.<br \/>\nNOTE: Changes are immediate and no save is required to confirm the change.<\/li>\n<li>Click &#8220;X&#8221;
