Introduction<\/h2>\n

Microsoft recently rolled out a Microsoft Office update that that prevents 3rd party Microsoft Access applications from using update queries.\u00a0 This patch will break all supported versions of Access.\u00a0 Any one who has automatic Office Updates enabled will have received this error when attempting to launch Stone Edge.<\/p>\n

The fix is to disable automatic updates for Microsoft Office and then uninstall or rollback the update from 11\/13\/2019.\u00a0 Continue reading for instructions on how to do this.<\/p>\n

Turn off Microsoft Office Automatic Updates<\/h2>\n

To stop getting updates and\u00a0features<\/span><\/span>\u00a0for Office on Windows 10, use these steps:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open an\u00a0Office<\/strong>\u00a0app, such as Word.<\/li>\n
  2. Create a new blank document.<\/li>\n
  3. Click on\u00a0File<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Click on\u00a0Account<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  5. On the right side, click the\u00a0Update options<\/strong>\u00a0menu.<\/li>\n
  6. Select the\u00a0Disable Updates<\/strong>\u00a0option.\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  7. Click the\u00a0Yes<\/strong>\u00a0button to confirm.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Once you complete these steps, your Office\u00a0apps<\/span><\/span>\u00a0will no longer download and install updates automatically.<\/p>\n

    Microsoft Access Update Rollback for Access 2010\/2013\/2016<\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. Open Control Panel.<\/li>\n
    2. Under Programs, click on \u201cUninstall a program\u201d
      \n\"\"<\/li>\n
    3. Choose the \u201cView installed updates\u201d
      \n\"\"<\/li>\n
    4. Do a search for:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        \n
      • \n
          \n
        • Using Access 2010 \u201cKB4484127\u201d<\/li>\n
        • Using Access 2013 \u201cKB4484119\u201d<\/li>\n
        • Using Access 2016 \u201cKB4484113\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          1. Highlight the update and the \u201cUninstall\u201d link will appear.
            \n\"\"<\/li>\n
          2. After the uninstall is complete, restart the workstation and then reopen Stone Edge.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Instructions for Office 365<\/h2>\n
              \n
            1. First open Access directly and go to Account.<\/li>\n
            2. Then go to Office Updates and then to Disable Updates.<\/li>\n
            3. Go to the Windows Start Menu and begin typing “Command Prompt” without the quotes.<\/li>\n
            4. Once it shows up in the list to select, right click on it and selected Run as Admin.<\/li>\n
            5. Type or copy & paste:
              \ncd %programfiles%\\common files\\microsoft shared\\clicktorun
              \nPress Enter<\/li>\n
            6. Then type or copy & paste:
