{"id":168,"date":"2019-04-02T14:08:41","date_gmt":"2019-04-02T14:08:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=168"},"modified":"2019-06-20T16:07:03","modified_gmt":"2019-06-20T16:07:03","slug":"displaying-skus-and-sub-skus-at-manual-orders","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/articles\/displaying-skus-and-sub-skus-at-manual-orders\/","title":{"rendered":"Displaying SKUs and sub-SKUs at Manual Orders"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Overview<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">The manner in which products with various attributes are displayed at the\u00a0<i>Manual Orders Items<\/i>\u00a0tab and the\u00a0<i>Add Items<\/i>\u00a0screen is controlled by system parameters.<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">All possible combination of parameter settings and the process to add the item to an order are described in this topic.<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">In the examples shown below, system parameter\u00a0ManualOrderSKUFieldType\u00a0is set to &#8220;combo&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">The\u00a0<i>Add Items<\/i>\u00a0screen does not evaluate the setting of \u00a0the Use for Build field on the\u00a0<i>Attributes &amp; Options<\/i>\u00a0tab of the\u00a0<i>Inventory<\/i>\u00a0screen when\u00a0ManualOrderBuildSubSKUs\u00a0and\u00a0BuildSubSKUs\u00a0are TRUE. \u00a0All possible combinations of the options in each option list are recognized, although sub-SKUs must alredy be built out in the Inventory table before the\u00a0<i>Manual Orders Line Item<\/i>\u00a0tab correctly displays the sub-SKU and adds the sub-SKU to the SKU field in the order.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><i>ManualOrdersBuildSubSKUs<\/i>\u00a0<i>and<\/i>\u00a0<i>BuildSubSKUs<\/i>\u00a0<i>set to FALSE<\/i><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">The SKU drop-down list on the\u00a0<i>Add Items<\/i>\u00a0screen contains every SKU expanded to include its attributes (which can be cumbersome to scroll through if you have a large number of items in your inventory).<\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Type in the first few characters of the SKU to jump to that point in the list and speed the search for the correct item.<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-859\" src=\"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/moadi8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"407\" height=\"361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/moadi8.jpg 407w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/moadi8-300x266.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/moadi8-50x44.jpg 50w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/moadi8-60x53.jpg 60w, https:\/\/stoneedge.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/moadi8-100x89.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 407px) 100vw, 407px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Next, select the applicable item from the drop-down and select\u00a0Add Line Item and Close.<\/li>\n<li class=\"NumberedList\">Notice there is no sub-SKU field on the\u00a0<i>Add Items<\/i>\u00a0form and the Options tab is not highlighted in red text. For stores with thousands and thousands of SKUs, a drop down list is not practical \u2013 it takes a long time for the program to build the list.
