At the\u00a0<i>Multi-Order Processor,<\/i>\u00a0eChecks are only processed if you set the\u00a0Credit Card Mode\u00a0to &#8220;Sale&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">The eCheck payment method is supported at the at the\u00a0<i>Point-of-Sale <\/i>screen, but the data must be hand-keyed, as the program does not support check reading hardware at this time.<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">The eCheck payment method is also supported for imported Web orders, provided the<a id=\"HotSpot28795\" class=\"glossterm\"><\/a>shopping cartsystem provides the appropriate data points.<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">You can also accept eCheck payments for\u00a0<i>Point-of-Sale<\/i>\u00a0sales or for imported Web orders, provided the shopping cart system provides the appropriate data points.<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">This kind of payment is very similar to credit card processing except that there is no &#8220;Pre-Authorization&#8221; or &#8220;Delayed Capture&#8221; with check processing.<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">The program now includes a standard payment method called &#8220;eCheck&#8221; that cannot be removed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>IMPORTANT NOTE:<\/p>\n<p>Please note that the submission of a check payment to Authorize.Net does not guarantee payment when the check is presented to the issuing bank. Therefore, Authorize.Net highly recommends that you do not ship the goods until you have confirmed that the check cleared ACH Processing, typically in 3-5 business days. If the check was refused by the ACH system, the user must manually edit the Amount Received in the\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: small;\">SEOM<\/span>\u00a0transaction record to $0.00 (which deletes the transaction) to reflect the balance due by the customer.<\/p>\n<h2>Required Data Points<\/h2>\n<p>The system collects the following data and sends it via Authorize.Net to the ACH check processing system:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">Checking\/Savings Account number<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">Name on the Account<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">Bank&#8217;s Routing Number<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">Bank&#8217;s Name<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">Account Type (Checking, Business Checking, Savings)<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">Transaction type (PPD, CCD, TEL, WEB)<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">PPD \u2013 Prearranged Payment and Deposit Entry &#8211; represents a charge or refund eCheck transaction against a consumer checking or savings account.<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">CCD \u2013 Cash Concentration or Disbursement &#8211; represents a charge or refund eCheck transaction against a business checking account.<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">TEL \u2013 Telephone-Initiated Entry &#8211; represents a charge eCheck transaction against a consumer checking or savings account, and for which payment authorization was obtained from the customer via the telephone.<\/li>\n<li class=\"BulletedList\">WEB \u2013 Internet-Initiated Entry (default) &#8211; represents a charge eCheck.Net transaction against a consumer checking or savings account, and for which payment authorization was obtained from the customer via the Internet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview Automated Clearing House (ACH) Check Processing is available at the\u00a0Payment\u00a0tabs of the\u00a0Manual Orders,\u00a0Process Orders\u00a0and\u00a0Multi-Order Processor\u00a0screens.
