Orders paid by the PayPal Express Checkout Service are not handled properly upon import into\u00a0SEOM<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Symptoms<\/h2>\n

Imported orders paid by the PayPal Express Checkout service are marked as having a Balance Due even though the system parameter PayPalOrdersArePaidInFull is set to TRUE.<\/p>\n

Imported orders paid by the PayPal Express Checkout service, and the system parameter\u00a0PayPalOrdersArePaidInFull\u00a0is set to FALSE, the user receives the messages:\u00a0at PayPalGetDetails \u00a0error -2147024891 “Access Denied”<\/p>\n

Cause<\/h2>\n

Current versions of\u00a0SEOM<\/span> use MSXML to communicate with PayPal. Recent Microsoft Service Packs for MSXML \u00a0implemented a security “enhancement” which causes that service to interrogate an Internet Explorer security setting, \u00a0“Submit Nonencrypted form-data”, prior to submitting or accepting forms sent with non-SSL encryption. If this setting is set to Disabled or Prompt, the calling action fails.<\/p>\n

Solution<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Open Internet Explorer and select Options from the Tools menu to open the Internet Options <\/i>screen.<\/li>\n
  2. Click on the\u00a0Security\u00a0tab and then click\u00a0Custom Level to open the\u00a0Security Settings – Internet Zone<\/i>\u00a0screen.<\/li>\n
  3. Scroll down the list of settings until you see\u00a0Submit Nonencrypted form data\u00a0and click the\u00a0Enabled\u00a0radio button below it.<\/li>\n
  4. Click\u00a0OK\u00a0to save the change and return to the\u00a0Security<\/i>\u00a0tab of the\u00a0Internet Options<\/i>\u00a0screen.<\/li>\n
  5. Click\u00a0OK\u00a0to exit the\u00a0Internet Options<\/i>\u00a0dialog.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
