Process Orders: Order Status

Overview

• The Order Status tab contains information about the current processing status of the order and individual items.

• It contains three tabs: Order Status, Item Status, and Item Ship Dates, which are described in more detail below.

• To access this information go to:

Main Menu>Accordion>Process My Orders>View and Process My Orders>Order>Order Status

Description of the Screens

Send Status to Web Button

• this button is visible when the Order Status or Item Status tabs are selected

• click this button to send the status of the current order or item to the SEOM Order Status System (additional subscription fee for this service offered to users of shopping carts that do not support Order Status Updates)

• in order for the program to send the status to the Website, the value of this field must have changed since the last time the status was sent

Order Status Tab

Current Order Status Field

• indicates the current status assigned to the order

• if the status has not yet been set, only the label is visible

Set Order Status to Field

• choose a status from the drop-down and click the Set button to change the Current Order Status  

Web Status Field

• this field was added as part of the Monsoon Commerce integration is not relevant to other shopping cart an e-commerce software system that allows a retailer to sell products on the Web. In the context of Monsoon OMS, it refers to the settings that describe a merchant's web store to the program, allowing it communicate with the online shopping cart and import orders and other information systems

• indicates the current status assigned to the order at the Monsoon Commerce Web store

• if the status has not yet been set, only the label is visible

Packing Slip Printed Check Box

• this field is not edit-able by the user, it indicates whether a packing slip has been printed (or previewed) for the current order

• for this field to be visible, system parameter PackingSlipWatermarkCopies must be set to TRUE

Invoice Printed Check Box

• this field is not edit-able by the user, it indicates whether an invoice an itemized bill for goods sold or services provided containing individual prices, the total charge and the payment terms; in Monsoon OMS, an order "invoice report " is synonymous with "sales receipt" has been printed (or previewed) for the current order

• for this field to be visible, system parameter InvoiceWatermarkCopies must be set to TRUE

Item Status Tab

Set Item Status to Drop-down List

• select to "left-click" the mouse on an object, usually a row in a table, in the context of Monsoon OMS documentation a status from the list
• choose the appropriate radio button (All Items or Selected Item) and click the Set button to change the status of the selected items to the selected status

Set Item Status for Radio Buttons

All Items (below)

• all items listed in the list of line items at the bottom of the screen synonymous with the Microsoft Access Form object or graphical user interface (GUI) are affected by the status change when the Set button is clicked

Selected Item (below)

• only the selected item in the list of line items at the bottom of the screen is affected by the status change when the Set button is clicked

Set Button

• click this button to put the status change into effect after selecting a new status and choosing which line items are affected

Item Ship Dates Tab

• Actual Ship dates for drop-shipped items cannot be set here, the Drop-Ship an order placed with a supplier for an item or items that are not normally stocked by the retailer; the supplier then ships the merchandise directly to the retailer's customer. The retailer never takes physical possession of the merchandise. Tracking system must be used instead.

Set Radio Buttons

• select the radio button that represents the type of ship date to be updated:

Expected Ship Date Radio Button - the date that the order is expected to ship

Actual Ship Date Radio Button - the date that the order actually is shipped; a tracking number is obtained from a carrier

To Field

• manually enter a date in this field or use the Calendar, Today or Tomorrow buttons adjacent to this field to enter a ship date

For Radio Buttons

• select the radio button indicates how many items are affected by the ship date changes:

Selected Item (below)  - click the row of an individual item in the list at the bottom of the screen to be affected by the ship date

All Items (below) - choose this button to have all items listed at the bottom of the screen affected by the ship date changes

Set Button

• after the appropriate choices have been made, click this button to put the changes into effect

Clear Dates Button

• this button clears the most recent date changes

List of Line Items

• the datasheet at the bottom of the screen lists all of the line items that might potentially be affected by the ship date changes
