POS Debit Card Sales

1. Add line items. There are five ways to add line items:

   1. Select to "left-click" the mouse on an object, usually a row in a table, in the context of Monsoon OMS documentation items on the Hot Keys tab.

   2. Scan the barcode on the item.

   3. Type a SKU the abbreviation for Stock Keeping Unit; a unique identifier used to track product inventory in the SKU field and press Enter.

   4. Type a barcode in the Barcode field and press Enter (or Tab on the physical keyboard).

   5. Perform a product search by clicking Prod Lookup or by pressing F6 on the physical keyboard.

2. Optionally, enter customer information by selecting Cust Lookup or pressing F5 on the physical keyboard.

3. Enter payment.

   1. Select the Keypad tab, if it is not already selected.

   2. Select Payment Module.

• 3. Swipe the card through the magnetic stripe reader. The customer's card information is displayed and the message "CARD READ" appears. The appropriate payment is automatically selected, if the card account number matches a Bank ID Number (BINs) established in the Payment Module. Be aware that if the card number is keyed manually, you cannot execute a PIN Debit transaction – it is treated as a credit card transaction.

  4. Select Enter PIN and have the customer enter their Personal Identification Number on the PIN Pad device. The message "PIN RECD" appears below the button if the PIN entry is successful.

 The label of the Enter PIN button becomes Cancel PIN, which can be used to reset the PIN Pad if necessary. Respond OK.

5. Select Sale (Authorize/Capture). If the transaction is successful, the Payment Terminal closes automatically and you are returned to the POS abbreviation for Point-of-Sale. 4. When the sale is complete, hand the receipt to the customer.
