Manual Orders: Billing

Overview

• This section displays the customer's billing address information, as entered in the Customer section.

• If it is necessary to change this information are required, the user must return to the Customer section.

• Enter other miscellaneous order information at this screen synonymous with the Microsoft Access Form object or graphical user interface (GUI), such as referral, coupon, or tax-exempt id information.  

• Click the links across the top of the screenCustomer > Items > Billing > Shipping > Message/Notes electronic records, for internal use only, that contain additional details about program events, actions or customer information that are stored with order, customer, inventory and supplier records. Notes can be entered manually by the user or automatically entered by the program, based on parameter settings in some cases. > Custom > Payment > Summary to step through each section, or phase, of placing a manual order. Using these links, it is possible to jump between different phases, out of their normal sequence.

• Another method of navigating between phases is to use the "Continue to.." or "Back to..." buttons at the bottom of each section, however, they only follow the normal sequence of steps.

Referral Drop-down List

• select to "left-click" the mouse on an object, usually a row in a table, in the context of Monsoon OMS documentation a pre-defined referral source from the list
• to define referral lists, go to Main Menu>Settings>Data Functions>List Maintenance>Referral List

Coupon Drop-down List

• to apply a pre-defined coupon to the customer's order, select it from the list
• to define a coupon, go to Main Menu>Settings>Order Functions>Coupons

Tax # Field

• this field is for informational purposes only, and is used to record the customer's tax-exempt ID number

Shop. Cart Drop-down List

• making a selection from this list is optional
• associate this manual order with a particular shopping cart an e-commerce software system that allows a retailer to sell products on the Web. In the context of Monsoon OMS, it refers to the settings that describe a merchant's web store to the program, allowing it communicate with the online shopping cart and import orders and other information

POS and Web/Mail Radio Buttons

• these radio buttons control the source of rate information the program uses to calculate the sales tax for an order
• the Web/Mail radio button is selected by default
• the Point-of-Sale tax information is defined in the POS abbreviation for Point-of-Sale. The cash register interface for use with walk-in business at "brick and mortar" stores. Used with barcode scanners and cash drawers. Sales made on the POS screen draw from the same inventory as orders imported from online stores. Setup screen and is based on the tax nexus of the brick and mortar store
• the tax information for Web or Mail placed orders comes from the Sales Tax table found in the Store Setup Wizard, which supports multiple tax rates for orders that are shipped to various locations outside the tax nexus of the merchant's physical business location
