Overview

• Just as its name indicates, this screen synonymous with the Microsoft Access Form object or graphical user interface (GUI) is used to add one or more products to a manual order.

• It is accessed by the Add Item(s) button on the Manual Orders: Items screen.

Description of the Screen

This Order: Section

• shows the number of items currently included in the order and the current dollar total

Search SKUs Button

• this opens the Search Inventory (Find a Product) screen

• enter criteria in one or more fields to locate a particular product

Multi-Select Button

• this opens the Multi-Select to "left-click" the mouse on an object, usually a row in a table, in the context of Monsoon OMS documentation screen, where more than one item can be selected and added to the order at once

• enter the Qty to Order; check the On Sale box if the item should be on sale and enter the desired Sale Price

• when all selections are made, click OK to add the items to the order

Add New SKU Button

• opens the Add to Inventory (Add New Product) screen, where a new inventory record can be added quickly

  

  Add New Product (Edit Inventory)

   

   

• LocalSKU, Product Name, Unit Price, Unit Cost and Published Weight fields are required

SKU Drop-down List

• if the desired SKU the abbreviation for Stock Keeping Unit; a unique identifier used to track product inventory is known, select it from this list
• alternately, use the Search SKUs, Multi-Select or Add New SKU buttons to add items to the order

Name Field

• displays the name of the item as entered on its inventory record
• this field cannot be edited here

QOH Field

• displays the number of units of the selected item that are currently in stock

Price Field

• displays the regular selling price of the item as entered on its inventory record

Sale Price Field

• displays the selling price of the item when it is marked as being "on-sale"

Backorder this item on this order Check box

• check this box to force the program to backorder When an item is out of stock, preventing an order from being fulfilled, the program considers the item to be "backordered". If inventory tracking is enabled in Monsoon OMS, the program will backorder items. the item, even if there are units currently in stock

$ Level Drop-down List

• this list is not visible unless the user has defined multi-level pricing

  set parameter UseMultiLevelPricing = TRUE and enter values in parameters PricingLevel1Name - PricingLevel10Name, as needed

• select the appropriate price level the various prices at which the same product may be sold, such as wholesale, retail, club, etc. for this order, such as wholesale, retail, club, etc.

Order, Discounts, Options, & Ship Dates

Order Section

• this view is visible by default

• click Discounts, Options or Ship Dates to see the contents of those sections

Quantity to Order Field

• type in a number of units or use the arrows to increase or decrease the quantity of the item to order

Sell at Field

• displays the current selling price of the item, but allows the user to override that price by over-typing the value in this field
• this is a temporary change – it does not change the selling price in the item's inventory record

Discounts Section

• this view is not visible until clicked

• click Orders, Options or Ship Dates to see the contents of those sections

"Type" Radio Buttons and Related Fields

• None – selected by default
• Quantity – indicates the discount is based on the quantity of items ordered; click the View button to see available quantity discounts for the item
• % Off – indicates the discount is a specific percentage deducted from the order total
• Cost+ – indicates the discount is based on the unit cost of the item plus an additional amount specified by the user
• Amount – enter the percentage of the discount to be applied when the %Off radio button is selected
• n/a – originally indicates that no discount has been applied to the order, but changes to "discount" when %Off is selected or "markup" when Cost+ is selected
• Unlabeled Field – enter the dollar amount to add to the unit cost to determine the discount to be applied when the Cost+ radio button is selected  

Options Section

• this view is not visible until clicked

• click Orders, Discounts or Ship Dates to see the contents of those sections
• choose a radio button, select the product attribute Product attributes are color, size, or style, etc. An attribute can have various options or variants from which the customer can choose, such as Large or Extra Large for the size attribute, or Blue or Green for the color attribute. The base product SKU combined with each of the possible options for each attribute create a sub-SKU record in Monsoon OMS's inventory. Sub-SKUs are important for tracking the accurate quantity on hand for a particular item rather than the general product or attributes and add the item to the order

Option 1-5 Radio Button

• this radio button is selected by default
• choose a product attribute from the list

Options 6-10 Radio Button

• click this to see additional product attributes and make a selection

Freeform Options Radio Button

• click this button to view the item's Freeform Options

Ship Dates Section

• this view is not visible until clicked

• click Orders, Options or Discounts to see the contents of those sections

Expected Ship Date

• enter the date the item is expected to be shipped

Actual Ship Date

• enter the date the item was actually shipped

Calendar Button

•  put the cursor in either the Expected or Actual Ship Date fields and click the Calendar button to select the dates

Add Item and Continue Button

• click to add the selected item to the order and continue adding other items at this screen

Add Item and Close Button

• add the selected item to the order and close this screen
