Discount Options

Overview

• This screen synonymous with the Microsoft Access Form object or graphical user interface (GUI) is opened by going to:

Main Menu>Process My Orders>View and Process My Orders>Order>Discounts link in the right-hand pane

• It is used to add or change a discount applied against the grand total of the entire order.

• For information about providing discounts for specific products and/or customers, refer to Price Levels, and Quantity Pricing.

• Depending on which type of discount is being added, the appearance of this screen changes.

• Refer to the Knowledge Base topic, Discounts, for information about creating standard discounts in SEOM.

Description of the Discount Options Screen

No Discount Radio Button

• select to "left-click" the mouse on an object, usually a row in a table, in the context of Monsoon OMS documentation this mode to revoke a discount already applied to an order

Use Standard Discounts Radio Button

• select this mode to set discounts according to the discount schedule defined in SEOM, which should match the discount schedule in your web store (ShopSite Users Only)

• you can have as many discounts as you need per order; each discount will appear on a separate line in the Process Orders: Order  tab, and on the customer’s sales receipt synonymous with the Monsoon Commerce "invoice report"

Enter Discount Manually Radio Button

• allows the user to enter a specific dollar amount for the discount

Original Amount Field

• this field cannot be edited; it reflects the original discount amount that is currently applied to the currently viewed order

Revised Amount Field

• this field reflects the change (delta) between the Original Amount Field and the Final Amount Field

Amount to Add Field

• enter an amount to be added to the entire order total

Amount to Subtract Field

• enter an amount to be deducted from the entire order total

Final Amount Field

• this field reflects the final order total after the discount has been applied to the entire order

Reason Field

• enter a brief description of why the discount was added to the order

Set Discount Percentage Radio Button

• select this mode to allow the user to enter a percentage discount applied against the entire sale

Set Discount % to: Field

• enter a percentage amount by which the order total should be reduced

• the discount will appear as a line item individual products listed on an order in the right-hand pane of the Process Orders: Order tab

OK Button

• click this button to perform the selected discount action

Cancel Button

• click this button to abort the currently selected discount action
