The Orders screen contains several tabs at the lower portion of the screen, one of which is the Custom Detail Data tab. This article only covers the contents of the Custom Detail Order tab. Refer to Related Topics at the end of this article for a list of other Knowledge Base topics about the Orders screen and its other tabs.
The Custom Detail Data tab is where any user-defined order detail-related fields would be displayed. Refer to Configuring Custom Fields, for more information.
Click the Show link next to "In This Topic" at the top of this page to see a series of links in outline form, which can be used to quickly jump to that section of the topic.
In addition, major topics may provide a brief synopsis of a field's purpose or direct the reader to the appropriate section of the topic by scrolling over the image. To return to the previous location within the same page, right-click the mouse and select [Back].
If clicking a field directs the reader to a different Knowledge Base topic, it will open in a new tab or window, leaving the currently viewed topic open. The browser's settings determine whether a new tab or window is opened.

fields in the SKU column reflect line items that are associated with the current order
this custom detail field is defined as a text field in which the user could enter their own data to be associated with the SKU in the current order, or it could also contain data from a check-out field at the shopping cart , depending on the capabilities of the particular cart
click this button to retain the changes that have been made to the data contained in the custom fields and leave Edit mode
be advised that there is no "Cancel" function on this tab - only way to put the record back the way it was before changes were made is to manually alter the values to their original state
click this button to make changes to the data that is contained in the custom fields on this tab
