In this Topic: Show
The Orders screen contains several tabs at the lower portion of the screen, one of which is the Comments & Instructions tab. This article only covers the contents of the Comments & Instructions tab. Refer to Related Topics at the end of this article for a list of topics about the Orders screen its other tabs.
The Comments & Instructions tab contains additional order information supplied by the shopping cart , customer or the merchant.
Click the Show link next to "In This Topic" at the top of this page to see a series of links in outline form, which can be used to quickly jump to that section of the topic.
In addition, major topics may provide a brief synopsis of a field's purpose or direct the reader to the appropriate section of the topic by scrolling over the image. To return to the previous location within the same page, right-click the mouse and select [Back].
If clicking a field directs the reader to a different Knowledge Base topic, it will open in a new tab or window, leaving the currently viewed topic open. The browser's settings determine whether a new tab or window is opened.

if the shopping cart is able to record and send order instructions provided by the customer, they will be stored in this field
this field cannot be changed by the user; it is only used by one or two of the older shopping cart systems and will be marked automatically if the shopping cart system supports that feature; this field can then be used as selection criteria when sending bulk emails to customers via the Customer Export Setup screen.
if the shopping cart is able to send comments provided by the customer, they will be stored in this field
if the shopping cart is able send gift messages provided by the customer, they will be stored in this field
the merchant can manually add a note to print on the customer's sales receipt
if a salesperson is automatically or manually associated with an order, it will be reflected in this field
to edit this field, the user must have the proper security clearance
displays the date and time that the order was placed at the shopping cart; this field cannot be edited
displays the date that the order was approved in Order Manager; this field cannot be edited
reflects the date that the order was created in the Order Manager; this field cannot be edited
displays the location in the program where the order was created (Manual Orders, POS , shopping cart); this field cannot be edited
if the order is associated with a particular Road Show, the name of that Road Show will be displayed here; this field cannot be edited
if the order was placed during a particular trade show, the name of the Trade Show will appear in this field; this field cannot be edited
click the [Edit] button next to the Ordering Instructions, Comments, Gift Message, Notes or Salesperson fields to change the information that is contained in those fields
