Updating Order Status to Yahoo!Store

Introduced in Version 2.105.

 

The Order Manager uses its Status Updates Feature to send tracking numbers and the status "Shipped" to the Yahoo!Store tracking status system. For more information about this feature, review Knowledge Base topics,

To send tracking numbers and the status "Shipped" to the Yahoo!Store tracking status system, follow the steps below: 

 

Generate an Email Tracking Password:

 

  1. In your Yahoo Store Manager click Shipment Status.

  2. Select Use Shipment Tracking Features.

  3. Click Show Email Tracking Password.

  4. Make a note of this password, you will need it later on in these instructions.

 

Order Status System users:

    1.  

  1. Go to the Main Menu>Maintenance Menu>Store Setup Functions tab>Status Events.

  2. For the event Order Add Tracking Number, select Shipped from the drop down list in the Order Status column.

  3. Click Notify Cart.

  1. Click Close.

  2. Go to the Main Menu>Maintenance Menu>Cart Functions tab>Create/Edit Shopping Carts.

  3. Select the appropriate Yahoo! Store and click Edit.

  4. Set the Tracking Password to the Email Tracking Password that Yahoo! assigned to you. 

  5. Click Save. Click Close.

  6. Repeat steps five through seven for each of your Yahoo! stores.

 

Non-Order Status System Users:

    1.  

  1. Go to the Main Menu> Maintenance Menu> Setup Functions tab> Status Events.

  2. Click List Maintenance.

  3. Select the Status list and add a status called Shipped.

  4. Click Save. Click Close.

  5. Find the Order Add Tracking Number event.

  6. Select Shipped from the drop down list in the Item Status and Order Status columns.

  7. Check Notify Cart.

  8. Click Close.

  9. Go to the Main Menu> Maintenance Menu> Cart Functions tab> Create/Edit Shopping Carts.

  10. Select the appropriate Yahoo! Store and click Edit.

  11. Set the Tracking Password to the Email Tracking Password that Yahoo! assigned to you. 

  12. Click Save. Click Close.

  13. Repeat steps nine through eleven for each of your Yahoo! stores.

 

Troubleshooting Sending Tracking Status Updates

 

If your Yahoo!Store is not receiving tracking numbers and status updates, verify that your default email settings are correct.

 

  1. Go to the Main Menu> Maintenance Menu> Setup Functions> Store Setup Wizard> Email tab.

  2. Under Select a method for sending e-mail, click Microsoft Outlook if Outlook is your default email software, or click Default Mail Software.

  3. Click Save and Exit.

  4. Go to the Main Menu>View Orders screen, find a Yahoo! order and add a tracking number to the order record.

  5. Acknowledge any prompts you receive from your default email software.

  6. Verify that an email was sent to your Yahoo!Store tracking status system by looking in your Outbox or Sent Items folder.
