Custom order fields can be added to the checkout forms in an Americart shopping cart that can be imported into the Order Manager. The names of the custom fields defined in the Order Manager must exactly match the names of the custom fields on the checkout forms. The fields types must also match. The Order Manager will display the custom fields wherever appropriate in the program and they will also be searchable.
Name the Custom Fields in the Order Manager
Go to the Main Menu>Maintenance Menu>Maintenance tab>Set System Parameters or Quick Clicks>System Parameters.
Click on the Custom Order Fields parameter group.
Click on the appropriate parameter in the Parameters in Selected Group list box (e.g. CustomTextFieldName1 through 5, CustomNumericFieldName1 through 5, or CustomDateFieldName1 through 5).
Enter a name for the field in the Parameter Text text box. Note: The field name you enter here must match the name of the corresponding custom field in Americart exactly, however, the case (UPPER or lower) of the field name does not matter.
Click Save.
Repeat steps three to five for each custom field that is needed.
Click Close to exit the Set System Parameters dialog box.
