ShopSite Parameter Group

This topic lists the system parameters settings in the Order Manager that enable users to configure the program integrate with their business operations. The Order Manager includes hundreds of System Parameters to do just that. To change a system parameter, go to the Maintenance Menu> Set System Parameters. that apply to integrating a ShopSite shopping cart an e-commerce software system that allows a merchant to sell products on the Web. In the context of the Order Manager, it refers to the settings that describe a merchants web store to the program, allowing it communicate with the online shopping cart and import orders, and other information etc. with the Order Manager.

1. To open the Set System Parameters screen synonymous with the Microsoft Access Form Object or user interface., go to Maintenance Menu> Maintenance Tab>Set System Parameters>Go.

2. Select to mouse "left-click" on an object, usually a row in a table, in the context of Order Manager documentation ShopSite from the Parameter Group drop-down list to view the cart-specific parameters in the Parameters in Selected Group window.

3. Follow the instructions in the Set System Parameters Knowledge Base article for directions for changing parameter settings.

MoveOptionsToFreeForm

• For products which may have more than 10 order options, set this parameter to TRUE to have all of the options displayed in the Freeform Options field. Each option one of the possible choices for a product's attribute; for example, blue is an option for the product attribute of color will be shown as Option# = selected option. Affects ALL products, even if they have fewer than 10 options.

RealTimeInvURL

• this parameter holds the URL to which inventory updates should be posted

• this is determined by Stone Edge Technologies, do not change it without being instructed to do so by Technical Support  

ShopSiteRecalcShipping

• Set this parameter to FALSE to prevent the Order Manager from recalculating shipping calculations (rates)

ShopSiteRewardText

• enter the reward label that is added to the product name on ShopSite

• this value must match exactly with the text added in ShopSite, otherwise the product will not show a zero price per unit after import

• ShopSiteUseRewards must also be set to TRUE

ShopSiteUseRewards

• set this parameter to TRUE if you use the shopper rewards program with ShopSite.

• also enter the reward label that should be added to the product name in the ShopSiteRewardText parameter

ShopSiteVersion

• If you are not sure what version of ShopSite is used, go to your ShopSite "back office". The first screen displays the version number near the bottom of the screen.

• Select from versions 4.1 through 10.2

UseXMLDownload

• Set to TRUE if you will be downloading files from ShopSite in XML a mark-up language similar to HTML, except that it is used to structure data, not display it. XML is used to order data in such a way that it can be passed between applications with relative ease. format.
