Set System Parameter

1. Go to the Main Menu>Maintenance Menu>Maintenance tab>Set System Parameters settings in the Order Manager that enable users to configure the program integrate with their business operations. The Order Manager includes hundreds of System Parameters to do just that. To change a system parameter, go to the Maintenance Menu> Set System Parameters. button or Quick Clicks>System Parameters.

2. The Set System Parameters dialog box opens.

3. Click on the POS abbreviation for Point of Sale. The cash register interface for use with walk-in business at "brick and mortar" stores. Used with barcode scanners and cash drawers. Sales made on the POS screen draw from the same inventory as orders imported from online stores. group.

4. Click on the POSBackorderOOSItems parameter.

5. Click False.

6. Click Save.

7. Click Close to exit the Set System Parameters dialog box.

Place Order

1. Go to the Main Menu>Point of Sale Form.

2. The Point of Sale (POS) screen synonymous with the Microsoft Access Form Object or user interface. opens.

3. Enter a sale.

Note: After you change the system parameter, you do not see anything different on the POS screen. To see that the order for the out-of-stock item was saved:

4. Click View Orders.

5. The View Orders screen opens.

6. Click on All Orders in the Quick Filter drop down list.

7. Use the arrow buttons in the lower right hand corner of the View Orders screen to navigate to the last order you entered from the POS screen.

8. Notice that instead of listing the quantity ordered in the Needed column, the quantity ordered is listed in the Shipped column and the order is marked Approved.

9. Click Close to exit the View Orders screen. Your view returns to the Main Menu.
