Shared Stack Controller Form Does Not Open or Closes on Send Now

 Problem

When using the Shared Stack Controller, the stack controller form on the workstation that is designated as the Shared Stack does not load, or if loaded manually, the form closes when the Send Now button is clicked and no data is sent.

Resolution

The problem may be caused by the Computer Name of the workstation being greater than 15 characters.

Check system parameter WebStackController and if more than 15 characters are present, remove the right-most characters so that only 15 remain. Be sure to click the Save button to retain the parameter change.
