Troubleshooting Integration with QuickBooks

This article details solutions to issues users may encounter using the Order Manager with QuickBooks.

 

 

Problem

 

Cancelling an order from the View Orders screen in the Order Manager does not adjust the Cost of Goods Sold upon uploading data to QuickBooks.

 

 

Solution

 

When cancelling an order from the View Orders screen, if the user selects No when prompted to "Return shipped items to inventory?", the Cost of Goods Sold is not adjusted upon uploading data to QuickBooks. The user must select Yes even if they do not track inventory in the Order Manager to return the items to saleable condition and recover the cost of the items. The items' Quantity On Hand is not adjusted in the Order Manager, but the appropriate adjustment is made to the Cost of Goods Sold in QuickBooks.
