This article explains the functionality of the Shopping Cart Functions dialog box with regard to osCommerce.
Access the osCommerce Functions Form
Go to the Main Menu>Maintenance Menu>Cart Functions>Shopping Cart Functions.
The Shopping Cart Functions dialog box opens:
Select a Shopping Cart: Click on the shopping cart with which you want to work. See Setting Up an osCommerce Shopping Cart for instructions on how to set up an osCommerce shopping cart.
User Secure Connection: This box is checked by default; leave it checked. You should always use a secure connection.
Send QOH to Website: Uploads the Quantity on Hand (QOH) for each item in the Order Manager to your osCommerce store.
You can enter a Maximum number of items per send to prevent server time out errors.
Get QOH from Website: Downloads the QOH for each item in your osCommerce store and updates the Order Manager. If an item in your osCommerce store does not exist in the Order Manager, the program adds that item to the Order Manager if the Create Records for New Products checkbox is checked.
Import Inventory: Imports all inventory items from the selected osCommerce store.*
Import Customers: Imports all customers from the selected osCommerce store. Adds any new customers to the Order Manager. Existing customers are not affected.
**Important Note: The Import Customers function does not allow you to map custom fields. Therefore, if your shopping cart utilizes custom fields in its customer records, you must import your customers from the Import Data from Other Sources dialog box. Click here for directions.
You can enter a Maximum number of products or customers to download at a time to prevent server time out errors.
*Import Options: Import Inventory from OSCommerce
From the Shopping Cart Functions dialog box, click on the Import Inventory button.
The Import Options dialog box opens:

Start by deleting all existing Inventory? - If Yes, the Inventory table in your data file is emptied before your new data is imported. If No, products that do not already exist in your data file are appended to the Inventory table as new product records.
When new items are already present: - Click on either Replace all existing data, Only replace selected fields, or Do not modify existing data.
Replace data in fields that are checked below: If you clicked on Only replace selected fields, click in the checkbox next to the fields that contain the data you wish to replace.
Click OK to begin importing records.
After the program is finished importing the inventory records, a message box opens that says how many were checked, added or edited.
Your view returns to the Shopping Cart Functions dialog box; click Close to exit.
