Miva Merchant users must install an export script or export module. The module enables the secure transfer of order data from your shopping cart to the Order Manager via an internet connection. It also facilitates downloading your customers and products from your shopping cart upon setting up the Order Manager for the first time.
Important! If you do not have a secure URL to access your Miva Merchant shopping cart, buy a secure certificate from your site hosting company and install it before completing the following steps.
Determine the Miva Merchant version.
Download the latest Export Module for that version.
Add the module to the Miva Merchant shopping cart.
Copy the site URL.
Edit the shopping cart settings in the Order Manager.
Log into the Administration area of your shopping cart.
If you are using Simple Administration (in versions 4.XX and above), click the Switch to the Advanced Administration link in the top right corner of the Welcome page.
Click on Main in the menu on the left.
Make a note of the Miva Merchant version number, e.g. v4.24.
Go to the Stone Edge Technologies, Inc. Software Download Gateway page. (Refer to the email you received from Stone Edge Technologies, Inc. when you ordered the Order Manager.)
Download the export module zip file for the store’s version, e.g. Miva 4.x XML Export Module Latest Release.
Make a note of where you save the zip file.
If necessary, navigate to the zip file using My Computer or Windows Explorer.
Extract the files: right-click on the file name, select Extract All and follow the prompts.
Go back to the Miva Administration page.
In the menu on the left, expand Modules.
Click Add Module.
Click on the Upload icon to the right of the Module: text field.
Click Browse. Navigate to the files you extracted above.
Select the appropriate file for your version of Miva Merchant:
Miva v4.13 and lower: omxmlexp.mv
Miva v4.14 and higher: omxmlexp.mvc
If you are installing the export module for the first time:
Click Upload.
Click Add.
If you are upgrading the export module:
Click the Overwrite checkbox.
Click Upload.
Click on Domain Settings in the Navigation pane.
Click on Site Configuration.
Select and copy the URL shown in the Secure URL to Miva Merchant field OMITTING merchant.mv or merchant.mvc at the very end of the URL. Note: If the Secure URL to Miva Merchant field is blank, your site may not be setup with a SSL certificate. You cannot setup your shopping cart without one. Contact your site hosting company to purchase a certificate and then install it.
Edit the shopping cart settings
Open the Order Manager.
Go to Main Menu>Maintenance Menu>Cart Functions>Create/Edit Shopping Carts or Quick Clicks>Create/Edit Shopping Carts.
Select the appropriate shopping cart from the Current Carts List.
Click Edit.
Paste the URL into the Script URL field, ADDING the Miva Merchant Version Number, "/modules/export/" and the file name at the end, e.g. 4.24/modules/export/omxmlexp.mvc.
Click Save.
Click the Test button. If the test is successful, you will see the message "Test passed! Script Version = X.XX".
Click Close.
