Stone Edge now offers a 3 hour setup session for quickly integrating your business operations with the Stone Edge Order Manager.  This service is ideal for those who want to minimize the learning curve and setup process so you can get right to work with your new software!


The Express Setup Service includes:

  • Program installation and setup, including network installation if needed.

  • Configuration of the Order Manager for the way you want it to operate.

  • Setup of the Order Manager to import orders from your shopping cart.

  • Interfacing with email servers, shipping software and credit card gateways.

  • Assistance with importing product and customer data from your old system or software.

  • A live training session for you and your employees.

The Express Setup Service will answer many of your questions about the Order Manager and eliminate most of the technical issues involved in setting up the program. In a single 3 hour session, we will take remote control of your computer and install and configure the Order Manager while you watch. Then we will train you and your staff in a live telephone session while you watch us use the Order Manager on your computer.

 

Pricing: 

The fee for this service is just $300 for a full three hour session.*

Discovery Phase:  During this phase we discuss how you run your business, and how you want to use the Order Manager, so we can optimize the program for your needs.

  • Do you drop-ship everything, carry everything in inventory or a combination? 
  • How many employees will be using the Order Manager and what are their roles in your daily operations?
  • What are the current processes of your website and internal operations?  Are you satisfied with those processes, or do you want to streamline them with the Order Manager?

Program Setup:  We will connect to your PC remotely to physically configure the software to your needs as determined in the Discovery Phase.  Typically we will hang up the phone for this phase, but ask that you pay attention to your PC so you can watch as we work.  Quick questions will be answered with a live chat feature.  See our checklist of what you need to have ready before the session starts.

Data Importing:  If you have Product and/or Customer data in an existing system that you would like to import into the Order Manager, we can do that for you during this optional phase. If not required, we can spend the additional time on any of the other phases.  In addition, we can only do so much within the allowed time: if your data is not in a usable form then this phase may require custom programming or additional time not included in the Express Setup Service.

Training:  The last hour of the session will be spent on the telephone for a live training session.  During this phase we will remain connected to your PC remotely so we can show you how the program works and guide you through the flow established for your business.  This is your opportunity to ask any questions you have about your daily operations and the Order Manager.  Turn off your phones, have your employees gather 'round, and take notes - this is the good stuff!

 

 

Session Preparation Checklist

Have a thorough understanding of your current operations and order fulfillment process.

Have the URL’s, user names and passwords for your shopping cart.  If applicable, install any modules or scripts that came with the Order Manager for communication with your shopping cart .

Credit Card Processing Information:

  • Authorize.Net:  Have your user name and password.
  • Verisign:  Install the PayFlow Pro SDK, have your user name, password, vendor name and partner name.
  • SkipJack: Have your serial number .
  • USA ePay:  Have your "Key".
  • Echo, Inc:  Have your ID and PIN.

Shipping Software:

  • UPS: Install WorldShip 5.0
  • FedEx:  Install QuickShip, Café, or ShipManager
  • Dazzle:  Install Endicia/Dazzle
  • All Others:  Have your shipping software ready to go!

Networking:  If you plan to install the Order Manager on a Local Area Network for multiple users, know the path to the server and the user name and password needed for access.

Email:  Know the name of your SMTP server, and the user name and password if required, as well as any special “quirks” about it, such as an alternate SMTP port.  If not using the Order Manager's built-in e-mail system, have your favorite e-mail client installed and configured (Outlook, Outlook Express, etc.)

Sales Tax:  Have the tax rates for your state ready.  CA and NY businesses: it’s confusing, we know, but have a few rates so we can at least get you on track!

Data Importing:  Have all data prepared and accessible before the session starts.

Supplier Information: If you plan to drop-ship or create purchase orders from within the Order Manager, have at least one supplier's contact information available.

 

 

What to know before hiring Stone Edge Technologies for the Express Setup:

  • Stone Edge Technologies will NOT offer any custom programming during the session. 
  • At the discretion of the Stone Edge Technician, it may be deemed that a portion of your data, website, computer system, network or software configurations is unsatisfactory for continuing. Additional customization or excessive troubleshooting may be required prior to using the Order Manager, which is not covered under the Express Setup Service.
  • Traditional data entry will not be covered, e.g., entering inventory, supplier information, etc.  Instead, the Stone Edge Technician will teach you how to enter the information with one or two examples so you can do that on your own time.
  • Stone Edge Technologies will NOT setup the QuickBooks integration or offer any advice on accounting related issues.
  • Should the session extend longer than the allotted time, Stone Edge Technologies reserves the right to conclude the session. If you would like to continue the session beyond the allotted time we will charge for the extended time at our standard hourly rates. Due to potential impact with other sessions that may be scheduled, Stone Edge Technologies reserves the right to reschedule the additional sessions for a later date or time.
  • Unused session time is non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Please allow 10-days to 2 weeks lead time for scheduling.

 

* Additional time, if needed, will be billed at $100 per hour. Higher rates may apply for sessions that run past our normal closing time.
